Original League of Legends (LoL) Thread
Hardcore tank Gragas is a blast. Like... completely ignore barrel roll until level 4 or 5. Body Slam and Drunken Rage all over.
I keep getting thrown onto teams with duo-queues who don't particularly know what they're doing and end up feeding and ruining the game. Sad

Had that happen to me once this week. Much expletives were thrown around.
Played a game as Lux earlier with two duo-queuers. One of them picked MF and the other picked Shen... and I hadn't known at the time that they were duo-queuing. Game starts, MF and Shen (the duoers) go bot. Jax and Akali go top. I have to go mid as Lux against Anivia.

As expected, bot is doing terrible and asking to get tower dived (both under 250 hp) so I ran down and tried to help them out. Upon my arrival they for some odd reason get aggressive and attack and Anivia, who followed me, killed them both. Guess who they blame? x.x
WILL U FEGGOT STOP STARTING WITH BOOTS ON RAMMUS FFS NO WONDER YOU KEEP DYING IN LANE SO MUCH S:LDKFJ @#$<M DF<> SMDFDKSLFJSDKL: FS

IT'S LIKE A CURSE WITH U FIRST IT'S WARMOGS NOW IT'S BOOTS MAY t3h 1nterw3bz SMITE U FOR BEING SO *beep* and *beep* EVEN AFTER EVERYONE TELLS U TO STOP AUTO-PILOTING YOUR BUILDS GODFKINGDAMMIT

Oh yeah btw logic and caps is apparently not enough to get Willis to stop his bad habits >.> Like powerballing into minions and trying to initiate anyways.

Quote:Kajitii: seriously will...
Kajitii: get Doran's Shield
WillDaSnail: and?
Kajitii: as long as you don't get a super harass lane like Janna + Ashe or something [and that is mild btw, Panth + Taric is much scarier]
WillDaSnail: lol
WillDaSnail: -cough-
Kajitii: you should see lots of improvements
WillDaSnail: true....
WillDaSnail: but if i have to do protection
WillDaSnail: then my effectiveness decreases by a load
WillDaSnail: -cough-
WillDaSnail: like protectiong someone who doesn't know how to play LoL
WillDaSnail: anyways
WillDaSnail: im bouncing, cya

Do you even know what you're talking about? Someone else please explain to him why Doran's Shield is so much better than boots as a starter item. If not, I'll personally make an essay so long as to why Doran's > boots at the start that people will tl;dr.

Sustainability and survivability will keep you up and running in lane much longer than a pair of boots will. Health regeneration is probably the best way to go, and Doran's comes with health regen as well as health and armor. Sustainability wins in laning phase.

Do I win?

Starting with a standard jungler build for lane (cloth+ 5x hp pot, though I usually take 3) is much better IMO. I used dorans shield for forever and when I read a guide on leaguecraft and switched to cloth armor I saw much improvement.

I don't know if he can quite do that yet =/ Will isn't level 30.

Still, better than his fking shoes >_>

Hey I try to get around them. >_>

And that's #6 for the night. You know what I mean. Rolleyes
WillDaSnail Wrote:Hey I try to get around them. >_>

Still does not excuse your bad initiation efforts. Better to not initiate at all than give them free gold and exp.
Cloth and red pots is the best way to start with rammus

Agreed.

WillDaSnail Wrote:Hey I try to get around them. >_>

Around the opponents???

There's no reason you should need to get around/ to your opponents as rammus in a lane early early game.

Rammus doesn't harass in his lane. He simply last hits minions and occasionally harasses with his teammate. The only time you really harass on your own with rammus is when the enemy is at your tower. Taunt them and when their face melt from turret shots.

With a single-target DPS specialist champ too, very nice xD
How fun is League of Legends? With Vindictus dieing out, I might need a new game to play soon.

It's extremely fun if you're ready to ignore douchebags that you'll run into in every match, be it on your team or the enemies.
But that's just competive gaming i suppose Rolleyes
And the learningcurve is never-ending, nobody can say that they know all strategies and all ways to play around cause that's bull.
Corn Wrote:How fun is League of Legends? With Vindictus dieing out, I might need a new game to play soon.

As long as you're comfortable with losing situations completely beyond your control, it's alright.
Corn Wrote:How fun is League of Legends? With Vindictus dieing out, I might need a new game to play soon.

Its extermely fun. But have patience. You'll be dealing with a lot of pimentos, people who feed, people who don't know what the f'uck they are doing.

In short: Jackasses

And be prepared to lose a lot before you start getting the hang of this game. Rolleyes

For the strategies.....for God's sake there's limitless possibilities!
aka LoL has a high learning curve of doom. Fortunately, matchmaking systems match you up with people of the appropriate skill level, so you don't exactly have to worry too much about needing to read up on everything before playing.

I can testify that I'm having lots of fun and 95% of the people I run into in random games are generally nice and civil. But the price of that is being better than about 90% of the people however :<

When I get into a game with some of these people who aren't as great, then I start seeing all the rude wannabes that trash talk and ragequit.
I will never understand rage-quitting o.e
I join games to have fun, not to win, i often have the most amusing games when i'm losing Biggrin

Off to bed anyway now.

This. Though, watch out for high-level players that are on their low-level accounts (us LoL players call them "smurf accounts"). You can easily tell smurf players if they are dominating like nuts. Rolleyes

And this.
