I was beginning to lose hope too, but finding a group of friends who are also Jaira hunters has improved my morale quite a bit, and I caught one two days later. Don't give up!

I stopped coloring El Nido reports purple, as the last one seemed to fit the regular time frame. Took purple out of the key, but the previously purple ones will remain that way.

Information from the Map.wz file:

The WZ files show almost no information to help us. There is one map, 931000500 (iirc), which lists all the mobs in the map, but doesn't list Jaira (this could also be why Jaira doesn't have a specified spawn location, there isn't a specified spawn location in the WZ file map data). All the other maps link to this map (as in, they are copies of this map), and no mob information is given. The only difference between the mobs listed in the map is that one of the tan/brown jaguars (I forget whether it's top left or top right, but I don't think it makes a difference) has a mobTime of 0, the rest of the jaguars have a mobTime of 1. I'm not sure what mobTime does, but I thought it might be worth pointing out. And no, killing this tan/brown jaguar does not spawn Jaira.

There are a total of ten maps. 00, 09, 08, 07, 06, 05, 04, 03, 02, 01. They go in order as listed. If someone is in the first map (00), and no one is in the second map (09), you will be placed in the second map. If there is one and only one person in every map, you will be placed in the first map, and it cycles like this. Once you are in a map, you can change channels, and you will still be in that map.

Information from the Mob.wz file: (Jaira in general)

Jaira takes 5 damage per hit, constant, similar to all jaguars except the normal black ones. Jaira cannot be KB'd, and he has 300 health, compared to a normal jaguar's 125. For what it's worth, a normal black jaguar takes 25 damage per hit, constant. The most valuable piece of information gained here is that Jaira, once spawned, will disappear after 15 minutes.

Even if you are currently riding a jaguar when you catch another one (Jaira included), you will automatically switch to the jaguar you just caught, so don't be afraid of riding a jaguar while trying to catch Jaira.

Jaira is similar to an area boss in that after he spawns, the first player to enter that map will receive a blue message saying "Jaira has appeared from between the boulders". That does not mean that this text will always appear, people might receive the text and leave, or be afk in the map with a Jaira present. Do not channel surf waiting for the text.

ah. i would have gladly helped you if you were in bera . 8:30 is kind of weird, although my assumption is jaira spawns between 12-2 PST so the 4pm EST fits.

Just really depressing that a lot of my alliance just goes in theres one time and finds it, while me and a lot of people on this forum search for weeks and not find a hint of it.

Alright, heres some more info.
On January 8th i assumed there was no reports because no one is logging here anymore. Anyway,

Both of these are unconfirmed, heard it from omgzone but i do not play witness. I asked what room/map he was in and he said 7. When i first asked him this he said 4 and his friend was in 15, so i dont think he really knows what the mapids are. Also i do not know if he means 07, or map 7 which would be 04.

The significance of this is that.... MY PATTERN STILL GOES ON >. Sadly, although my pattern has been working i have been unable to obtain a jaira of my own >.<

can you sum up your pattern? Without using a specific date or something like that, just like a general rule or something please =D

My pattern was developed with the help of awakeplace. So if he's okay with it i'll share the info. Also, i would like to catch my own jaira before i leak the pattern because once everyone finds out it'll be even harder to catch one

Just caught it a few minutes ago! At exactly 1:12 AM PST and a friend caught it on another channel at the same time. We were both on map ID ending in 00.

Finally caught one. Map 00, ch. 1, Windia. Time displayed is in HST, so it would be 1:09 AM PST on the 10th. Unfortunately, in my anxiousness to capture it, I don't recall if I had to kill a jaguar before it spawned.

EDIT: Just cc'ed to ch 2, and one spawned without me killing one.
EDIT 2: Also, I found 4 more in addition to the ones in channels 1 and 2, and I bumped into someone who recently caught one as well. So there's quite a few that spawned and I think they all spawn at the same time.

I just caught one as well. Posting a screenshot as soon as I figure out how.

Channel 2. The other guy in the picture caught one about 10 seconds after me. Room 00, didn't have to kill a jaguar for it to show up.
Also had another one that I watched die when no one came to take it.

I didn't have to kill another Jaguar for it to spawn. It was on the upper left platform for me. I realize you aren't able to really see that it is Jaira in SS, but you can see the blue message

A girl who name kumoritenkou just got 1 in ch 4 too. Time is around 1:10 am pst. The map's id is 931000500, she just cc surfing around when im camp in 1 channel
