4th job Single Target DPS
JoeTang Wrote:That's not how critical works. If ME with Greed can critical, it would do up to 360% damage. Your criticals will do at least 1.2x to up to 1.5x damage. I tried dozens of times in Tespia and could not get anywhere near to where even a minimum critical would put my Meso Explosion. Post the screen shots here or send them to my PM please.

 Spoiler

My range is 26,707 to 38,153 in this picture (my clean range). Dividing the ME damage by my max range yields 274.58% for the highest hit. After a few minutes of testing the highest I saw was 115k which is close to 300% damage.

I'm not sure if that means critical is actually working and not showing in color, but the damage is DEFINITELY doing higher damage on certain hits.

Edit: Wow, got completely Ninja'd by the posts before me. In short, ME can critical...

I just used Print Screen and pasted...There is no scroll lock key on my laptop (I think you have to press some combination of buttons do get it to work, but that's too much effort).

For Dusk:
I know you haven't finished the xls file, but I saw a few important error in it, which boosts multiple classes DPS by quite a lot:

-> Only Night Lords were affected by Sharp Eyes now, that is, the (max) crit damage % increase was correct for all classes, but you forgot to update the SE critical -rate- increase of other classes. That row was "hidden" (see below).

-> Also, -all- secondary skills (Dragon Buster, Meso Explosion, Savage Blow, etc) are not linked to the correct cell,
Explanation: The cell in "Skills" F35 is linked to "Stats" F18, but it should be "Stats" F19 (all primary skills were already correctly linked this way).

-> Also you sort of hid the Stats F18 Row, maybe that's why you forgot to update it with the SE critrate boost. Smile

-> Also Meso Explosion doesn't ignore wdef for 100%, I was browsing my zakum solo screenshots, and ME went below my normal minimum damage, I don't know if it ignores wdef partially, but for now I have put it at 0% (instead of 100%)

-> Also Meso Explosion seems to have +20% bonus damage when it criticals (+70% instead of +50% without SE, and +100% instead of 80% with SE)

==================================================

Anyway, I took the liberty to apply these changes myself, so ppl can see the difference. Don't be mad if things aren't correct, it's only a temp edit! Smile

Fixed, thanks. Also added Decent SE.

I find your suggestions for how ME works to be incredibly bizarre. 20% bonus damage? Weren't you suggesting before that crits were additive? Isn't it more likely that it doesn't operate on the same formula as other attacks, or that Greed doesn't work the way we thought it did? ME is clearly wrong, but I'm not going to update it until I get definitive answers as to how it really works.

I'm currently adding in all the CO values, and implementing an easy way to compare total DPS for those of you who are annoyed by the summon damage not being included. I'll post an update when I'm done.

Do the different mage classes really have different delays on Teleport?
edit: Actually, on second thought, are they set to the same delays as the main skill? (Assuming that it's impossible to doubletelecast.)
edit2: If above edit is correct, what is I/L's Teleport damage per attack higher?
Also, out of curiosity, on the "Skills" sheet, what is the "Multiplier" field for?

I thank you so much for your contributions in making these charts, Dusk. On a side-note, you may want to add updates to the newer charts on post #1. I opened it, was really curious why Buccaneer DPS was so abysmally low, and realized it was pre-BB. Had to search through the last 8 pages to slowly find the newest one, 3.04. Is 3.04 pre-Chaos, or post-Chaos?

One thing though is I'm absolutely shocked at Shadowers and Meso Explosion DPS. ~1.2m/second? Really?!? That makes Pickpocket a godly skill for boss killing then and Shadowers are deceptively strong.

It's possible to tele twice in one attack but it's extremely difficult to do so. You can set the Teleport option to "spam" if you want to see how much damage it could potentially do.

Tele for Battle Mages is wrong; I'm not sure whether to include Teleports during Finish Attack.

It's possible to Blow-Tele-Finisher-Tele, but I suspect it's slightly slower (at least it feels like there's a bigger gap to the next attack, maybe just due to Finisher's weird requirements) so might not be worthwhile.

That and it can be hard to make Finisher connect since its range kinda sucks, at least with quadblow, and if you're teleporting around it can get out of hand...

Oh pomegranate, I just realized Dual Blades aren't using Final Cut at all. Does anyone know how that works post-BB?

Another outstanding question:
- How does % Attack (from Potential and from Aura) stack with potions and buffs?

@IllegallySane: This is post-BB, pre-Chaos. I'll update the OP when I'm done fixing most of the errors in the chart.

Just tried it using Dark Aura (+10% attack). Attack potions are applied to your total attack before +% attack modifies it. Here I have 180 total attack.

 Unbuffed
(762x4 + 112) x (180/100) = 5688, check.

 With Dark Aura
(762x4 + 112) x ((180x1.1)/100) = 6256.8, check.

With Dark Aura + Wizard Elixir (+20Matk)
(762x4 + 112) x (((180+20)x1.1)/100) = 6952, check. Changing it to ((180x1.1)+20) does not check, resulting in 6888.8.

idk about potential, but dark aura stacks with attack buffs/pots, iirc it adds 10% to the buffed range. I'll double check to confirm later.

EDIT: ninja'd.

Thanks, any idea if +% Attack stacks additively or multiplicatively with Dark Aura?

Fixed a bunch of errors, added CO and Decent SE, added Beholder

I'm totally clueless about this stuff, but what monster/boss are these values against? Does it factor in PD rate of the boss? And are these the post-Chaos patch values? thanks

There is a custom field for PDRate.
And these are the current values for gMS, a.k.a. post Big Bang, not post Chaos. Seriously, Dusk answered that question about three posts ago.

% Attack off Potential and Auras stack additively. Here I have 307 total Matk and +8% Matk on the staff. Constant stat multiplier = (1355x4 + 181) = 5601. Note that for the attack multiplier, the result seems to be truncated, not rounded.

 Unbuffed
5601 x ((307x1.08)/100) = 18539.31 rounded to 18539, check.

307x1.08 gets truncated to 331.

 With Dark Aura
5601 x ((307x(1+0.08+0.1))/100) = 20275.62 rounded to 20276, check.

307x1.18 gets truncated to 362. Had it been multiplicative, the attack value would have been 307x1.08x1.1 = 364.716 (364) which would not check.

With Dark Aura + Meditation (Buff, +20 Matk)
5601 x ((327x1.18)/100) = 21563.85 rounded to 21564, check.

Proof that attack buffs basically act the same as attack potions.
