Potentialing Pet Equipment

So according to Cyanne's thread, you can have potential bonuses on pet equipment from the Cash Shop. I take it these are cash shop items you can actually blow up as well with a pot scroll. Extra stat bonuses, drop/meso rate, increased potion recovery all seem pretty useful to add. Has anyone tried potentialing and using them?

The fact that these equips expire make it really not practical to potential, since you might have to cube them to get the effects you want.
