Fortune Arterial - 12 - pomegranate ending was shitty. Seriously, they went the whole dam thing without even saying what was "special" about Kohei's blood or anything. I feel like I wasted my time now. Im doubtful the OVA/s will even explain anything either.
Kunagisa Wrote:So I decided to watch something that some people were talking about, and picked up Milky Holmes. 1st episode didn't really leave an impact on me, 2nd episode was a bit enjoyable, and the 3rd convinced me to keep watching caus it seemed like it'd be a fun series.
Finished this the other day. Enjoyable series, but not something I devoted my complete attention to; watched it while Mapling or something. Characters are hnnnggggggg and dawwww, but the real heroine is Henriette. Everyone else is just a useless generic moeblob, sadly. Basically nothing was accomplished; no progression of story or development of characters except for Henriette. Of course, that is not why you would watch this show, but the Milky Holmes crew was rather annoying despite the amount of hnnngggg they bring. I even found G4 to be more likable. I was hoping for a more interesting plot and development, but it was obvious from the start this show isn't anything but a generic kid's show/moe otaku fodder. Henriette on the other hand fffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff- afk my lip's bleeding too hard from biting.

Some guy somewhere said something about some special stone thing (belongs to the vampires or something) that somehow got stuck in Kohei's body.

p.s. beach episode is awesome
Henriette is cool and all, but Twenty is the best character. But yeah, most people like her the best of the Milky crew. I like Cordelia more though.

Cordelia is okay. I like Henriette > Kokoro > Sherlock > Saku > Cordelia > Hercule > Nero > other female characters that I don't recall or care about > 0 > male characters
The ED is pretty awesome though. I watched it every time. Great use of brass. Scenes are just lip-bitingly amazing. I'm surprised at the quality of animation of the entire show considering this was J.C. Staff, especially compared to Index II. Guess the styles are just too different for derp to appear as prevalently or noticeably.
Here are the basic relationships of the game first the
Tougi/Togi houshold basically the Tougi/Togi are there for the Sendou household (Erika, Iori and Kaya [their mother]) to be turned into their mobile blood banks/slaves in the world's term as kenzoku this is done by having the said subject drink any of the Sendou household's blood, where in the price is that they will loose their ability to taste and have sleep spells AKA narcolepsy but also has to fulfill the masters order and must also fulfill the contract during becoming a kenzoku, but to the point they also get vampiric traits such as superhuman speed, strength and agility and immortality.
Known kenzokus in game
Kuze Kiriha-Kaya's Kenzoku who also happens to be her childhood friend effectively making her at least 400 years old
Togi Seichiro-Iori's Kenzoku
lastly on Erika's end Hasekura Kouhei-technically Kaya kills him so Erika revives him via by the process of turning him into a kenzoku.
Secret of the Togi if this was mentioned before they own the water reservoir of the island which is also happens to be the same reservoir where Kaya's father died, but instead of his blood dissolving it turned into red crystals, this plays an effect on as to why Erika is getting her bloodlust in Kouhei's presence as, there was an incident as a child that Kouhei drowned in the said reservoir and survived but at the same time he accidentally swallowed a red crystal, which is now reacting with Erika's system. Ohh and another thing is that the Togi household was Kaya's mother's family.
Spoiler
Erika also happens to be originally the younger sister of Iori before Shiro but was later adopted to the Sendou household and their father made her swallow a red crystal as an infant in an experiment of what happens to a 'half-vampire' plus full vampire powers
as the prior spoiler stated the red crystal that came from Kaya's dad's blood can also give the one who ingested it vampiric traits as well but not the same extent of that of a kenzoku
people who said about Haruna's memories being erased is caused by the Sendous is apparently true but it was Erika who erased her memories during the time they met when their still children with Haruna being in a car accident and Erika saved her.
about becoming part of a Sendou household well apparently before Kaya's dad died he created 2 blue crystal which contain his magical essence this is then by turning them into something similar to Kaya or him, his reason for doing this well its his love for his daughter on not getting lonely if he ever disappears from this world. and this said crystal can only be destroyed by any of the direct descendant of Kaya's dad who is well only her being the only child and all. thus effectively removing the vampire trait of a person.
True ending
Erika is no longer a vampire but because Kaya cant destroy the red crystal she still has some classical vamprie traits, also Erika and Kouhei have a child, and Kuze finally has found her master AKA Kaya and this was well after they graduated from school and university and started working
JoeTang Wrote:Cordelia is okay. I like Henriette > Kokoro > Sherlock > Saku > Cordelia > Hercule > Nero > other female characters that I don't recall or care about > 0 > male characters

nigga u gay
Twenty is like what I would imagine Yoshinoya from Hidamari being like if she was a guy, except he'd show off more FABULOUS fashion and only occasionally strip and molest students. Okay, molesting still in tact caus she has thought of things like this as a girl, so wouldn't be surprising at all if she acted upon them in a different setting.
I noticed a bit of QUALITY in the show, particularly running scenes in which their hairs stay perfectly static in one position, but that's nitpicking a bit. Overall, the style of the show allows it to get away with slight artistic messups anyway, kinda like FLCL. Sometimes the derp faces are just intentional, so you don't really care when you see them.

Okay I found it.
I might have liked that ending better than the crap they gave us.
Motto To Love Ru - 13 - Decent ending, that will be better uncensored. One thing I dont/didnt like about Motto was the story, it just seems like short stories without an underlying story to it, which the first To Love Ru had the underlying story but wavering animation at times. I expect a couple OVAs for this, and probably a new season at some point.
Soredemo Machi wa Mawatteiru - 12 - Very intriquing way of closing this one (for this season iirc), not sure what to look forward to if theres another season.
Kuragehime - 10 - Beautiful episode was beautiful.
Arakawa Under The Bridge x2 - 13 - Epic and awesome, really really really hoping for another season, this show is just too dam awesome to go without it, they didnt even got to Venus!!!

Kuregehime - 11 - Really, this has to be one of the most well put together animes ive seen. The comedy is good, the story is decent, and the animation is just beautiful. My only gripe is how short it is.
Also, pineapple YEAH!!! Downloading the Trigun: Badlands Rumble movie.

Whoa hold on a sec!! Why didn't I hear anything about a Trigun movie!?
Kuragehime 11:
Definitely my favorite show of Fall 2010. The ending was pretty good; the way they wrapped up Amamizu-kan wasn't what I was expecting, but I did enjoy the way this episode progressed. I agree with everything JohnE said.
Nothing new at all, but I watched it.
Cencoroll: Very enjoyable. Looking forward to the sequel since it was so damn short. Everyone was so relaxed, very fun to watch.
Perfect Blue and Tokyo Godfathers: Hoooleeey SH'IT, so good. On the one side, you have brilliant suspense and mindpineappleery and aw man what the hell is going on @_@ and on the other hand you have this insanely heartfelt adventure romp through Tokyo with fantastic characters with fantastic stories behind them and emotion and bwaaaah. Satoshi Kon is a god among filmmakers. He can do it all. Motherpineappleing pancreatic cancer has never pissed me off so much as right now. Definitely gonna buy Dream Machine when it's done and available and probably Paprika and Tokyo Godfathers next time I get the urge to watch them again.
Based on the comments, will likely marathon Kuragehime a bit later this week.

Yeah, I enjoyed Tokyo Godfathers, it was a interesting breather to the usual you see in animes. Paprika I only got to see part of, cause it was on Starz or something, but its was also a beautifully done anime, and the story is real Inception like (didnt the director say he was inspired by Paprika?).

I know, right? I think it'd make a really cute series if they went along with making it full length.

Trigun: Badlands Rumble - God ive missed Trigun, and this is just the kind of thing to make me download the whole series and watch it. I also wish there would be more coming (and by the ending, its could be possible).

Makes me want to rewatch the show.
Come for the Vash, stay for the Vash, love the Vash. Digged Amelia too. Reminded me of the Cowboy Bebop movie, a lengthy one-off that reinforces everything you loved about the show.
