Nexon is smart releasing 2 of the 3 taos and "glitching" the 3rd one (tao of harmony) so people waste money on 2x drop at CWK. Everyone should log a ticket to nexon with a title. "CWK GLITCH: TAO OF HARMONY DOES NOT EXIST" There is no way possible it drops if NONE of the servers have found one. With 30+ million people playing, its very unlikely this item is SO RARE it wouldn't drop once in the weeks of time CWK has been out, yet the other 2 have dropped multiple times. Mabey enough ticket logs reguarding this issue will make nexon realize their stupidy in not releasing one of the major items in making / upgrading the new items.

1. There aren't 30 million. Nexon claims 6 million at best and it's generally agreed by the community that that's not even close to the truth.
2. Not everyone can kill the monsters in the quantities necessary to even get one exchange, much less the several needed to get a rare item such as this. Let's say that there's 200,000 people capable of killing windraiders, which are the weakest monsters that you can exchange. As far as we know, windraider badges don't give Tao, so they're not even helping. People who can kill firebrands and nightshadows, the two monsters we know for sure give Tao, are only killable by an even smaller portion of the population, perhaps 30,000. 3. Not everyone's participating. How many of them are active? How many are too scared to go to crimsonwood from rumors of the autoban? I know I haven't been hunting badges so much these days, in total I've only exchanged three times and all mine were Windraiders.
4. Even if someone did get a Tao of Harmony, they may not visit these forums, or even sleepywood. Yeah, it's true that the majority of people strong enough to collect badges do attend forums, but that's not everyone.

I think it's still too early to be crying glitch on this. That being said, it's not out of the question. Bringing it up in the forums can't possibly hurt.

It isn't out of the question, but no Tao of Harmony and no Raven's Wing (2h sword) which we know for a fact exist in the data. D:

I'm starting to wonder IF there is indeed part 2 of this or something...or stormbreakers have really lopsided exchange rates?


EDIT: Nevermind, I figured out why there are so many Raven's Beaks. 2 different kinds of badges give them. <_<


We could assume that Stormbreakers give the 2h sword and Tao of Harmony which would account for not finding either within a forum post so far.

I don't know about everyone else, but I gave up on the exchange quests after finding out that people with max mesos can glitch the quest and have a much higher chance of obtaining a tao or weapon. Even if it was fixed, I probably still won't be hunting for badges since it's so much work for such a small chance of something good. I bought so many 2x drop cards earlier and all I got was crap and mesos.

I think most people just gave up on the exchange quests by now, so we're finding taos and raven weapons at a much slower rate.

What we need to do is... somebody give me 2 billion mesos so I can glitch this thing too!

We should lodge tickets about the "max mesos glitch" on the exchange quest, actually. I bet they didn't realize that would happen because they didn't know so many people were running around with that much mesos on them.

(I would, but I'm a couple billion short of being able to reproduce the problem. )

Well seeing as Nexon created the exchange quest for the Christmas event where Maplemas Lights could be glitched out of it, I'm sure the same thing was done again which allowed mesos to slip through or w/e.

I understand theres a SMALL percentage doing the CWK exchange quests, but consider this. I have collected over 10000 badges so far from the exchange quest trading in (2-3000 firebrand badges at a time / 4-500 nightshadow) I have got EVERY item posted on the "joko exchange post" including the tao of sight / shadow. Noone in any server has got a tao of harmony period. even IF 30000 people traded in 50 firebrand badges ONE time, and harmony has not dropped yet thats 1 in 30000 chance...i'm not buying that considering there have been plenty of tao of sight / shadows seen since the patch, and i'm sure that "30000ish" doing the exchange quest is not trading in ONLY 50 badges period.

That's ALL Versions of MapleStory around the world. And, as we all know, Crimsonwood Keep is only available in Global, and Global does NOT have that many members. It even says that right there.

and though I'm quite skeptical about those numbers, turning in 10,000 badges is 2000 exchanges. You're also neglecting the possibility that someone who DID get that badge decided to keep it to themselves for whatever reason (Didn't know a thread such as this one existed, wanted to forge a weapon that requires it, selfishly wanted to be the only one who knows how to get them, etc.) then that's not helping us either. on top of that, if you're only collecting Firebrands and Nightshadow badges, and let's say for example that Tao of Harmony comes from Stormbreakers, then it's completely irrelevant because even if you turn in a million Firebrand badges, that's never gonna get you closer to the Tao of Harmony.

You're welcome to believe that it's glitched if you like, but I'm not willing to make that call yet. Not everyone's going crazy hunting up 10,000 badges and thousands of people haven't even bothered to do the quests that allow them to turn badges in in the first place.

Really if it's from Stormbreakers/Nightshadows it's no surprise nobody hunted the hell out of them and got one, neither has a really "good" mobby spawn anywhere, whereas Windraiders have several very high spawn maps and Firebrands have that one Cliff too.

If he had said 10,000 windraiders or something, I'd buy that, but not really Nightshadows. They're way too hard to get. :/

The ONLY thing that might be possible is if it came from the 25 of each because noone that i have heard of "farms" the 25 of each badge exchange (mabey storms but i doubt it.) I'm pretty sure all the taos could be obtained from the flamekeepers though. I have farmed shadow / flamekeepers to the point of getting EVERY item mentioned from the "jokos badge exchange on both forums" (southperry / sleepywood) 10000 + fire / shadow badges total. Just wouldn't make any sence for 2/3 taos to drop from the firebrands. I'll probally try to farm the 25 of each and turn in thousands, no items were verified to drop from it yet, its possible all the new ravens items that have not been verified to drop from the 25 of each because every exchange have items that drop. Everyone seems to give up after 1-2 exchanges for that one and with badge exchanges, getting meso is the highest %. Its possible though that harmony DOES NOT drop from fire / shadows considering i have not got one yet as the abover poster mentioned. I'll keep you guys posted...I wish there was a way to check the MS files to see the npc each tao comes from so we could be 100% sure through data.

In total, me and my partner have got 6-8000 firebrands and 2-3000 night shadows in total. The most nightshadow we have traded in at a time was 600, most cases 2-300. The most firebrands we have traded in at a time at once is 2600...normally 900-1600. A couple weeks of non stop training with 2x drop 17X nl and 16X bishop. (of course the bishop got MOST of the badges

I say it's freakin hopeless for the tao of Harmony to come out till the next update to CWK(i've said that earlier). I mean nobody has seen it.. IT'S RIDICULOUS. Bleh.. I'm gettin g a headache just thinking about it lmao

I posted like 3 times asking for the guy to post his ign, and I was wondering why, if he's in scania, has no one seen "OMG A GUY WITH THE NEW STARS"

I really think that balanced fury screenie (posted on like the first DAY of CWK) was from a private server since he blocked out so much stuff.

Even more so, someone actually posted a similar screenie (although it was obvious that it was from a private server) showing the stars being thrown.


As for any others, I haven't been looking recently.

They don't farm it because it was discovered that 25 of each only gives mesos. (Someone in this thread did so with max mesos. (S)He clicked with max mesos for 10 minutes, and still got nothing. It's not proof, per se, but who would look that long for one Tao?)
