Magic shield in gMS before and after big bang.

I did a little experiment :

i was wondering 'why doesnt magic shield reduce the damage taken?' until i found it was only only graphical. this skill does work and heres some proof to back it up. pardon my horrible math.

Magic shield off (MG on)

Initial HP 1046



Damage taken 692.
692*0.3 = 207.6 (deducting from mg)
1046 - 208 = 838 (left over HP)



everything seems right.. lets switch on magic shield.



Initial HP 1248 (i turned off mg before i hit cent)



damage show taken 669
amount of hp i should have left = 1248-669 = 579
actual hp i have left = 779
669*0.7 = 468.3 (damage absorbed after shield)
1248-469 = 779 (total hp - damage arbsorbed after shield)

sorry if this is confusing but my E8 grade in math didnt help :x anyway i hope this helps clear some confusion over why this skill 'isnt working'... its just the graphics, it actually does reduce the damage you take.

well... ._. its annoying as pineapple as i pot the moment i see a huge chunk of damage even with magic shield on.. guess i have to get used to it then -_-
