Delaying something that was never coming in the first place, what?

It's coming, the production time is just getting pushed back. Like Duke Nukem Forever. Or the Phantom Gaming Service.

What you'd expect from a boss which is probably going to be even stronger than the strongest one released, which currently is Cygnus.

this was said at the last Q&A
Quote:Qn: Will the level cap of 200 be raised? And will there be more bosses?

A: We've always been reconsidering the level cap and it will be easier to level up after BBP and we will consider raising it. Updates will be more focused on our loyal players who are higher level and will include more bosses and maps.

Qn: If the level cap is increased, will there be a fifth job?

A: Yes, but there are no plans for the fifth job at this point in time.

They are definitely thinking about it either way.

If they haven't changed how the EXP is stored (2,147,483,647 max) and they keep the 6% increase in EXP per level. Looks more like a bonus occupation than fifth job.

An unsigned int is capped at 4,294,967,295 not 2,147,483,647.
It's not having what you want - It's wanting what you've got.

But a signed int is not, which everyone thought it was as the original L200 EXP was 2,121,276,324. If it's unsigned obviously they have a bit more room to play with...

222 | 4,221,515,618
223 | 4,474,806,555

"Everyone" is an awful broad generalization.
Have you ever seen your Exp go negative? If not there's no reason to believe it was using a signed int. Or to even believe the type of int it has today has any relevance to the future since it can be changed fairly easily in both client and database and an unsigned long allows for 18,446,744,073,709,551,615.

Does losing exp from dying count as negative exp?

Did your actual XP value drop below zero or did it stop at zero no matter how often you died? Rolleyes

But then why is there a meso cap of 2,147,483,647? I've never seen anyone with negative mesos. Sorry if it sounds like I'm arguing; I'm just curious, and ignorant.

Because they put it there and didn't see a need for it to be unsigned when they never thought players would actually reach that amount in the first place and then haven't felt any reason to raise it.
What's that got to do with anything?

The limits of one field have nothing to do with the limits of another unless they're the same data type, and even then logic capping those values below their max threshold, like HP and MP stopping at 30K or stats stopping at 1000 make them all separate cases.
