I'm a bit curious what non-English websites you visit, and whether or not you tend to visit more English websites or websites of another language.

Tay Wrote:I always wondered if there were like chinese 4chans or something.. . . I'm am also quite curious about things like this. Also sites countries tend to use that are similar to what we use, but a different company. An example would be China and Google. I, as many others do, consider Google to be the best search engine, and yet it has very few Chinese users.

That's because everyone in China uses Baidu. Google is filled with imperialistic Americans trying to take over China.

I stopped visiting non-English sites a long time ago. If I gotta search something in Chinese, I'll use Baidu as a backup to Google although I'm having trouble even getting Chinese to type out atm

There are two Thai websites I usually visit, TMS board and a soccer league board. Fail.in.th and drama-addict.com once a couple of days.

I hardly EVER visit non-English sites, but the ones I do visit that are Japanese would be :
http://maplestory.nexon.co.jp http://maplesonar.com/wiki/ http://hangame.co.jp http://mixi.jp http://nicovideo.jp Other English websites have Japanese people I can talk to in their own tongue, so I don't have to stray too far to find people to converse with.

Although I speak 4 languages, I only visit websites in Dutch and English.
I only ever go to French or German websites, when I absolutely have to because of their specific information (tech guides, etc).

I absolutely abhor searching on the internet for something local, enough to punch whoever requested such help. Any website whose company isn't a big shot internationally sucks massive balls on a Holywood Chihuahua. Buying cement, rooftops, bicycles, looking for locations, contact information, prices of items, even banking; everything seems to be perfectly designed to drive me insane.
