Hey guys i have decided to quit my 90 Wild Hunter, reasons because it seems to repetetive and slow training.
I have some questions
Are Dual Blades really fast at training?
Is it true that 1st and 2nd jobs skills are sucky now but 3rd and 4th skills are buffed?
Im not sure if i should make a regular dex or dexless.
I have a 15dex Bathrobe, 15dex witch hat, 10att rwg, Level 80 Katara (3%att), 8dex 2att PAC.
Should i keep all my dex equipment so that will give me more levels to be able to add LUK? Or should the dex equips to buy LUK equips?
Dont worry i can buy NX mastery books.
I have a funding of about 400m.
Can i handle a DB? I will be dedicated to the DB just like my WH which i got to level 90 in three days.
Help guys?
Thank you and have Merry Christmas

Yes, it is true db skills were nerfed like crazy 1st and 2nd job. But 3rd job skills were buffed a lot. Bloody storm used to be about 240% and hits twice up to 8 enemies. Now it is 420% hitting twice and hitting 8 enemies. On final cut, I can do about 150k-90k-25k-20k with bloody storm. Also, the skill upperstab was doubled in damage. It used to hit once at 255%, but now it hits twice at 255%. Mirror image's damage was increased from 60% to 70%, but it is still 70% of your damage range, not your previous attacks.
3rd job dual bladers are extremely fast at training. The combo of flying assaulter and bloody storm or flying assaulter and tornado spin gives you amazing invincibility frames, and will rush the enemies into bigger mobs. While it looks like db's may do low damage in their training skills, the mobility of the class more than makes up for the slightly weaker mobbing move. Mobility is just as important, if not more important than power.

Upper Stab Got stronger, but not twice as strong. Before it's 255% (or was it 245%? can't really remember) of your damage range, like Tornado Spin and Sudden Raid. Now it's divided into Dagger/Katara like rest of the skills. Before I can hit 199,999 with merely 15k range on bosses (factoring Final Cut and Thorn), and now I hit much, much less per hit with higher range.
Mirror Image was 80% of your damage range even though the skill description says 60%. Now it's -more like- 70% of your skill's damage. Try it with Final Cut. There's no way my Mirror hit can break 200k if it still look at my damage range.
@ Thread Starter:
You might want to have enough Dex to wear lvl 80 Top and Bottom in the future (even if you use dexless Dagger/Katara), but right now Sauna's fine.
I would say Dual Blade can level pretty fast if you train at the correct places, especially in 3rd job where you get your main training skills AND bossing skills maxed. Maybe not as fast as Wild Hunter from 30 - 70 after the nerf, but still fairly fast.

While using Bloody Storm, my MI attacks cannot seem to get above 30ks. My range isn't 30k, but it is definitely not 70% of previous attacks.

(Upper Stab)
11602 / 22046 = 52.63%
18922 / 37662 = 52.63%

193415 / 367490 = 52.63%
The result could have been affected by a lot of variables (to make it not exactly 50%) such as PDRate, FC's passive effect and weapon potentials. For all I know MI's damage is skill dependant and isn't affected by Final Cut and sometimes, criticals. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable than me can answer this.

Thing is, most of MapleStory training is repetitive but, at least Dual Blade are fast. Personally, the only other main that I've had before this was a Night Lord and I would never considering going back to one. I know I'm getting a level at least every other day at 14x by not even grinding.
It would seem like this would be the perfect time to make one, too. From what I understand, correct me if I'm wrong, even though most of our skills get a % reduction in Chaos, we actually get buffed because they re-worked the formulas. On top of that, the new 4th job skills are amazing. Phantom Blow and Fury are beast on top of Sharpness and the new Thorns.
As far as the dex thing goes, I've heard that it's pointless to be a stat-less character and low stats are the way to go. I'm sitting at 56 base and got 150ish total. I'll have more by the time I'm done with my gear. On top of that, dex becomes more useful later. I guess KMS had some formulas tweaked and secondary stats are more useful now.
