Spent the past 40 minutes (12:00-12:40 PM PST) looking for Jaira in Windia. Ran into a bunch of people from yesterday still looking for Jaira. No luck for any of us, as far as I can tell.

Searched maps 06-10. Can't seem to get into maps 01-05.

Forced to give up for now. Family lunch.

I've been in Ch 10 jaira map for 19 hours. Nothing... nothing at all i cced to every channel every single hour.

I gathered info from 2 people who captured jaira.

1st person:
Caught jaira at around 1:40 am pst. Blue message appeared. Just cced in and got it. No map id.

2nd person:
Caught- 1 pm pst (he was very sure about the pm part) Blue message appeared. Also just cced and got it. No map id as well.

I think i can say this safely. Jaira is a random spawning jaguar with almost no pattern >_>

From all accounts, yeah.
In other words, Jaira is a big, pre-area boss spawn text Mushmom, trolling all who attempt to hunt it with "It was just here" or "It died half an hour ago".

This is what im confused about. Fiel said jaira disapears 15 minutes after it spawns. But a blue message appears when it spawns. Theres no way someone would cc to a channel just when jaira spawns (maybe once, but multiple people doing it, I dont think so)

It makes me think that jaira does wait till someone cc's into the channel, blue text appears, and if jaira does not get captured within 15 minutes, it dissapears.

I can personally say that when i cc and someone is already killing an area boss the message does not appear. And I tried this on multiple area bosses.

Kimera, centipede, snowman, tae roon, old fox; all these don't give me a message of them when i cc and someone is already there.

My personal experience with the blue text is horrifically inconsistent, though. Sometimes the boss is there, I'm alone, and the blue text doesn't show. Sometimes the boss is there, someone else is attacking it, and the blue text shows. Personally, I'd check the whole map before CCing, blue text or not.

Clicking in and out the habitat doesnt help. You will end up in the same map most of the time, drop a coin and you will see what i mean

I got this right as the clock hit 12:15am PST. My heart skipped a few beats, and then it must've despawned shortly after the text appeared. Mega-heartbreak. Note: The time in the picture is Central time.


Edit: For the record, I did check the entire map and circled back around before saying that message, and then bringing up the Map ID value.

I just caught a Jaira.

I left the map through the portal and when I returned back to the secret base it said Jaira had spawned in my chat log. So I quickly rushed back in and caught it.
I print screened it so you can see for yourself what time it was. That's 7.20pm AEST, which is 12.20am PST.
After catching mine I changed to channel 8 (I was in channel 7) and didn't find one, although then in channel 9 I found another.
This was in map 931000500.

EDIT: I was just sitting in channel 19 and another spawned - 12.35am PST still map 931000500.

Caught it. Quite literally cc'ed into ch1 and fell onto a Jaira as another person stood afk. My fingers trembling I managed to catch it just as another person cc'ed into the map as well and tried to steal it. ~12:27 AM PST. map id ending in 00.

I think it seems pretty obvious by now that it's on a spawn timer from last kill / catch like area bosses rather than spawning at a set time. Presumably 24 hours.

Best way to test this is find one, catch or kill it, mark time and channel and head back 24 hours later. If it reappears then that's that.

As someone who has spent thousands of hours hunting bosses, I can definitively say that the spawn notice only comes up once and only for the first person to enter the map after it has spawned. People use this knowledge to their advantage at places like Seruf, by ccing through all channels before killing them. This discourages passerbys or potential hunters. Also makes the hunt a little more painful, especially if you aren't paying attention to what channels you've visited.

I can confirm. You can clearly see in my above SS that I DID NOT receive the spawn message when I cc'ed into a channel already containing a Jaira.
