#3 is the best, but it's not better than our current. If we have to change, I'd go with #3.

1 is stupid, 8 is absolutely horrendous. 2, 4, 5 and 6 are unfitting, ugly or not good enough. 7 is overrated in its current state. It is the best overall image, but it needs work if it's going to be our banner. Doesn't fit near well enough as is.

Unless it's constructive criticism let's keep our opinions to ourselves please.

7 is the only one that doesn't look really amateur, although I would still prefer the current banner over any of them. 6 actually somewhat resembles the current banner, but with a hint of pink. 6 also seems too large.

I sorta like the last one. I can see the effort the artist put on this - building up a theme for the banner.
Of course, there are room for improvement, I would suggest a pirate flag/ ship to make the theme more obvious, a thick lips for Usopp...etc

Upon looking at the designs again (On my computer this time) and Russt's images, I decide that I dont like any of them and would like Mira's back. ._.

#8 is my least favorite. I don't get the relationship between Southperry and One Piece. I also don't like how Luffy's head gets chopped off by the end of the banner and how ugly it translates over into the preview of what it would look implemented.

#1 was worth a giggle or two for whoever made it, and I smiled seeing an entry like that up there. Not worth my serious consideration as an entry, but thanks to whoever made it.

Some of these were a little boring, and weren't much better than our logo as is.

I'm split between choosing #3 (although it's one of the "generic ones" I mention, it does at least work), #6, and #7 (which I have the same thoughts about as Felix).

I feel like if a plain text won, it wouldn't be outmatch Mira's. Mira did a very good job.

6, I can see where the love for it is coming from, and it looks great on the forum, but it depends if we'll change the forum as a whole to match 7. If we did, then I certainly think it deserves to win. Otherwise, 6 is the best option.[/COLOR]

The point of voting here is not to replace the current banner. Eos & Talia will choose if the winner will replace it or not. For the moment, it's simply choosing the best banner out of the ones provided, not necessarily the one that will 100% for sure replace the one we have. According to the rules:

 All submissions become property of southperry.net whether "winning" or not.
 No guarantee of a winner being selected. (In other words, the current logo may or may not be changed even after the contest.)

1 i dislike. Icons of the site shouldn't be on the banner. Also i think the blue smudging would look bad on the default skin.

2 3 and 5 i don't like. Much too plain.

4 is cool looking.

6 is too light on color, and PB is a douchebag. Don't understand the obsession with him in almost anything MS related.

7 looks terrible. There is such a thing as too much detail, and i agree with whoever said the lines were too thick.

8 is just stupid. Who the hell are those people and why should they be on the banner? MS characters doing random s'hit doesn't make a very nice looking banner.

I don't mean to insult anyone who made these, so sorry if i did. I just don't want the new SP banner to be something i can't stand to look at.

Just because you don't care for them doesn't mean you should hurt someone's feelings. At least they took the time and effort to submit something.

Also, due to all of the negativity concerning the banners, I probably won't attach names to them. I will merely post all of the banners so you can all see everything that was received.

First you say give constructive criticism. Then when i give some, you say don't be rude. The authors have a right to know what people think of these works, and it's the duty of those who vote to tell them their opinions. That's how this works, and being "for fun" certainly doesn't detract from or void that obligation. They took the time and effort to submit it, so i took the time and effort to critique them based on my opinions. Please don't use their effort to point out a lack of participation on my part, as if to put me down. I also don't see why it matters to keep saying that a banner change might not happen despite being clearly defined in several places, as well as being partially common sense. The topic exists because it suggests that it may happen, so why degrade the quality of your posts with the knowledge that whatever you're saying might not change to begin with?

PS: OH NO AUTHOR NAMES NEXT TO THE BANNERS. An angry internet mob might form and lynch the author of a banner that no one liked!
