I like 7 by itself, but it'd look weird on the site. Either develop an entire background skin for the site using that as the starting point or try to make the banner colors blend in with the blue gradient we have now.

Yep.
Pink Bean sets a nice contrast to the blue, plus the odd quirky cuteness of it belies SP's nature.

Maybe combine the site's name from 7 with the farting Bean of 6, that'd be my pick.
