WTP is up with Heal.

I'm surprised this hasn't been brought up yet.

But has anyone noticed how little Heal actually heals your party members x_X I just noticed it at czak when the bishops were healing for 2k HP at a time...

Was this intended?

Heal is now based off your INT. Kinda weird.

Yes, it was intended.

Heal was always based off your int, IIRC.

Not afaik.
Code:
Heal Recovery:
Recovery = something * Magic * HealLevel * TargetMultiplier

Heal Target Multiplier: 0.3 + 1/NumTargets (including yourself)
1 - 1.3
2 - 0.8
3 - 0.633
4 - 0.55
5 - 0.5
6 - 0.467

Just tested this out with Bacon and a guildie:

Starting HP: 50
HP after 1st heal: 8845, amount healed = 8795
HP after 2nd heal: 16466, amount healed = 7621
HP after 3rd heal: 28302, amount healed = 11836

3 ppl in party

INT used to be the primary contributor to Magic.

I didn't check exact numbers but it seemed to me that the "300%" of Heal is now 300% of the healer's HP.
i.e., My bishop who has 2600 HP can heal my hero for about 7800 HP, or can heal two party members for 3900 each, etc.
But that doesn't quite fit with the numbers you guys got... and doesn't explain their inconstancy at all...

zzzzz =_= If they didn't reduce bishops to next to useless at bosses before. No point in even having sed bishops anymore F5

The Formula with it based of magic attack seems to fit the 2k healed.

So much for using stripped bishops =X

INT used to be where you got most of your magic from, and that's what i meant :/ i should've worded it better.
Anyway, if it's solely based on int now you should be able to heal a lot with potential gear.

Wait, It can't be based of int can it? Int was always much larger than magic attack.

Do you mean it's solely based on magic attack now? If that's so, it makes more sense to the numbers I'm seeing.

OK, did a bit of testing.

Method: used a level 89 Priest with max heal (duh) and level 50 spearman with max hb and 17544 hp (unbuffed) in party. Spearman would cancel HB, then recast it, and priest would heal the ~9k hp lacking.

Priest has 99 m.att, 475 total int, damage range 1778-2370
Observed Heal results (20 samples): 1898-2285

Priest has 33 m.att, 462 total int, damage range 771-1028 (switched to nub wand)
Observed Heal results (9 samples): 835-970

Priest has 99 m.att, 516 total int, damage range 1930-2573 (used MW20, then kicked mw caster from party so as not to mess up results)
Observed Heal results (9 samples): 2153-2486

Not a lot of samples but I'm going to go out on a limb and say that for one party member other than the healer, the amount healed is the healer's damage range. Why the description says 300% I have no idea. It may be a bug. Or it may be that he can heal up to 3 party members this "full" amount, and then it goes down.
Definitely needs more testing.

Makes sense...

Could be Damage Range * 300% * 1 / (n+1) or something.

Did anyone read the results bacon and I got? Doesn't match with the damage range theory.

I read your results but I don't know your healer's damage range.

Meanwhile, added another member to the party, and heal values dropped to 1505-1776, which seems to be about 80% of healer's damage, but that's really just a guesstimate.
Added a fourth member, heal values are now 1334-1560, or about 70% of healer's damage.
