3 and a half years? Hmm, this would be 1.5 years for me so far, you beat me by 2 years, wow, nice. Yeah, most people that has the guts / lost motivation will truly move on with their life, no one can play a game forever, everything gets shut down eventually anyways.

I'll probably quit this infernal game too, but not until I get a decent paying job (another 3 years of college), move in with my girlfriend who's in Quebec, or get my Night Lord to 150.

ive was hoping to get to 150 before i quitted too but just never found the movitation to play there. when you really think about it, what's the difference between your 13x NL, your 15x NL and your 19x NL? besides the damage:

your 13x NL has a level 1 shadow claw, level 1 ninja storm, level 1 taunt, level 1 vemon.
your 15x NL has shadow claw and vemon maxed.
your 19x NL has taunt and ninja storm maxed.

is playing a few extra hundred hours (even thousands) really worth experiencing the skills when you've already experienced them at level 1?

but sometimes its not about skills, or leveling. some people plays because its fun to them, some people are playing for friends. i can understand that. i dont really wanna "leave behind" my friends in game but i dont really wanna sign on anymore because there's nothing left i wanna do.

You can always try out different classes too; different playing styles make for a whole new experience =]

You brought up a very good point.. lol.. There truly isn't a difference besides the %-rate activate of Venom, and higher damage with TT, etc. =| However, I'm having fun playing for now since my girlfriend enjoys playing it. If I play it, she plays it, if she plays, I play. When she quits, I too will quit, if I choose to quit first, she will do the same, and so on. Once I quit Maple Story, I am "deleting" my Night Lord (probably at lv 150, or even 140), and recording it with FRAPS to prove that I did. <_<

you get fame for deleting a character for about 2 weeks but then people will forget you. dozens of people have deleted 14x+ characters and i always thought that was stupid. its your hours of time you put into it but do you really want to delete the memories and friends youve made with that account? are you so addicted to maple that deleting your own character is the only "way out"? especially if you're "planing to delete at level ____". why even waste time now playing it if you're gonna delete it some day? it takes 10 hours per level to level up. you can do a lot of homework, see a lot of movies with friends for 10 hours. you might as well be deleting one day of your life at a time.

It has nothing to do with addiction. More like a sense of accomplishment / end-game feel to it once I do, besides, here's a question.. You know how MapleSEA's players are getting hacked through the ranking and etc? Imagine if gMS will be like that one day, I'm not saying that it will happen, I'm just saying that there's a probability/likelihood of that. Besides, eventually, as far as how I see it, once gMS shuts down, all characters will be deleted anyways. That's why people make videos to remember their character and their good times with their friends. ;]

Its a great video and nice song to go with it. Hope its just the game and not the forum because I will miss that avatar of yours haha =D. I've loss the determination to play so much during the 3 years iv'e played this game also but I just can't seem to let go .
