No their treating you like sheep. sheep are stupid. They follow whatever the shepard does or says. If the shepard jumps off a cliff they will too. NEXON is treating you like Sheep. They tell you buy this and you do. Whatever NEXON says people will do. Don't believe me? Just look at the forums and anytime they post NX deals. People rush it.

I dont think we need to argue over metaphores, as long as the metaphore fits the situation. I choose the cattle metaphore, because the point I made was regarding how they want to suck us dry - take our money - and this analogy was related to the topic of greed. Sheep wouldnt fit in my example, because sheep dont relate to the idea of greed; they relate to the idea of control.
Now, lets try to not argue over analogies, unless the analogies make no sense or dont fit the situation.

Also with the number of staff Nexon has, you would honestly think they would produce more than just small little GM events every now and then as updates. Even if the Visitor Event was GMST-made, when you think about it, in the past 2 years, all they have been doing is copy/paste updates and wash them down and nerf them all to pomegranate. When those updates are released, there are more than 2 dozen glitches, a quarter have arbitrarly banned people, or made it so they could not play the game anymore. More than another handfull of the glitches also lead people to dupe items, and opened doorways to hacks like the chaos duping, meso duping, and other economy busting loopholes. After when that is done, they announce a 2x event, which is complete crap because the servers usualy crash due to their crappy computers as opposed to Korea's better FPS rates.

Sure they've released a bunch of dev blogs, and crap with sugar and cherries on top, but what of it? They're trying to prusuade us that they're doing a good job, but they have nothing to back them up rather than -hime-'s bull on the forums.

In the past 2 years we have gotton next to nothing original on North America Nexon's end. They have produced almost nothing original and they hand us a platter of crap and expect us to eat half of it before they take it back and dump a bottle of ketchup on it just to make it taste better.

What if we do catch up to KMS? What if were on the same patch and KMS stops handing out updates for a while? NA-Nexon would be screwed, because they'll have no good developers making anything and they'll have millions of little kids getting angry because they're doing nothing but setting up craptacular events that get so pointless from the traffic that invades the servers during those times.

From this i got the following:

they lost 1 member of the development team and they can't seem to use any other person's imagination. Isaac did a whole bunch of theorizing in the old days, yet the dev team couldn't just open their minds just a little bit to see how much potential Masteria had? Really you could get anyone who was a fan of the game and they could give you so many ideas for an area, you could get a dev team of a bunch of 13-17 year olds and they could EASILY continue what Masteria was. IMO they lost hope a little too fast. I understand losing a key person of the team, but there is no "I" in team. It should have been a group effort from the start, not just one person's vision. I'm sure it wasn't just that one person's idea to make the whole of masteria.

Nah no argument I see the point your making now. We can all be considered different animals depending on our situation. Some may be considered the prized pig. Some like you feel like cattle. I personally see the masses as sheep. While I feel like the chickens. I'm neutral. When I'm mad you'll know but I'm not mistreated by NEXON either. Now moving on! No ones wrong just matter of opinion

Omg. Thats EXACTLYYYYY what I keep saying>.> When NEXON Am runs out of content because NEXON Kr is working on a BIG patch and doesn't produce as fast and we catch up we are SCREWED. Thats what made Masteria so perfect. It was huge could be used for extra development when other content was slow. Unless they want their player base to complain constantly of no new areas, they better pump out some WT areas and exclusive content or at least have it ready for when Korea slows down. Yes we need the content from Korea but eventually it will slow down and by the time that happens we'll be on their asses. Then what? Without exclusive content to turn to or WT areas the game will be in a stalemate until Korea produces. Theres still a crap load of Masteria left and at least 10 WT areas left so lets get cracking>.>

I mean how hard is it to work up the Old Sapp Village Ruins and it's entrance in Meso Gears basement area, add the portal, Subani as an NPC, and a Naricain boss fight? Not only that but there are so many other things as well left unused. The bosshunters, VineLand, the Taru Vilage Ruins, etc. etc. etc. Masteria has a script... and as any director on a movie, commercial, or TV show will tell you as an actor/actress... stick the the script.

^ You do know that the Korean branch has to do the artwork, rite? Even if GMS devs have a set script up and running, they still have to send their idea to NexonKR, and in turn they have to make the art, and so on.

Of course, there is the argument that this may have been done already and they're just sitting on it. xd

Yes and NexonKR does have a dedicated Universal team who managed content creation for each branch. It's just getting NexonAM to actually come up with ideas for expanding GMS, getting the KR team to create content, and then getting the AM localization team to get it added in.

It's still just wishful thinking to assume that -if- we catch up to KMS that GMS will ''have'' to go back to making it's own exclusive content again.

This is 100% incorrect, and most MMOs stop producing anything when their ''mother'' version stops, and only continues when mommy dearest continues. In all honesty though, Big Bang gave more reason for the Masterian cult followers to just give it a rest; almost the whole place was nerfed to hell and given almost no reason to even go to anymore. Literally, the only reason someone would still go to Masteria is for some of the quest rewards and MoN. Majority of all MMO players don't give a crap about the story of the game they play so it's really a puny minority that wants Masteria to continue, especially since it's so empty now due to the nerfs.

One doesn't need prescience to predict that things will not spontaneously change without other changes first. The arrival of leprechauns on the moon in this case. Until Nexon says otherwise Masteria is dead. Anyone hoping otherwise is holding their breath on those leprechauns with absolutely no basis beyond deluded hope.

I've read that thread about a 100 times and Prose never said it was dead. Nor did -Hime-. Plus the hole in that moon rock is simple. Anything can happen. True its more likely to remain untouched but anything can happen to it. A commet could hit the moon and destroy it. Man interference could touch it. Anything could happen to it no matter how much time it took. While theres nothing wrong with hoping and dreaming one day it will come isn't so much delusional but rather hoping. To say it's coming this patch it's coming this patch I know it! That would be more delusional.I respect what your saying but I will stand by what I said. NEXON has not told us its' dead directly but rather it takes time. I hope it will come and I'll leave it at that. I'm not expecting it to come but will still hope that it will come. With that said unless one of us are time travelers we do not know. A new person who followed the Masterian lore very closely could become part of the Dev team. Or Prose and Joe could come back. The later being 99.99% chance of NOT happening. All I'm going to conclude this is we simply do NOT know.

Personally I think we know nothing, and my entire point has been that I have reasons to doubt Nexon's statements and I believe it is never a good idea to just accept what Nexon (or actually any business or organization) says without any evidence or proof.

Which is what I was saying. (For all we know = no one knows jacks'hit.) No one knows how things went down. But until further notice of someone else claiming it NexonNA did make the Visitor Event simply because they claimed it. It doesn't matter if it's true or not, because it's the only evidence of who created the event.

None of that happens spontaneously without observable warning however. Until a comet comes streaking towards the rock, or a rocket for that matter, hoping the rock starts moving is deluded. Cart before horse does not work.
