Freezing Cold Bronze Into Boiling Water

What would the outcome be of dropping a piece of bronze that has been sitting in the freezer for a while inter a container of boiling hot water?

Logically I would think the would be a slight explosive reaction (or rather a burst of energy cause an eruption of the water), but this outcome to me is normally from hot metal into cold water, where as this is the opposite situation to that.

So, does anyone know?

Not much change. The water would likely stop boiling as the delta difference in temperature normalized between them.

This. Since liquid water has a maximum temperature of 100 degrees Celcius AND NO HIGHER, introducing a cold object will lower the temperature of the water, causing it to stop boiling. Much.

Any reaction to the metal? I would also doubt a change in the metal since being frozen seems like a pretty stable state, while being hot it is less than stable.

Im tempted to, but the piece of bronze I have is a finished Hello Kitty casting that im giving to a friend for her birthday, cause she loves Hello KItty.

Going by the look of it on google images, this might be a nice effect to have on certain pieces, but at the risk of breaking, itll have to be gained another way.

The cold bronze might actually stop the boil for a while and displace the heat temporarily until it has a chance to heat up as well. If anything it might create a lot of steam if there is condensation on the metal.

The same thing happens when you boil water to cook pasta. The water is boiling until you add the room temperature noodles then it stops boiling temporarily until the noodles get heated and boiling and continue.

Frozen huh? Frozen by how much?

An average home-freezer doesn't go below -20' C.

Normal temperature Bronze has a temperature of +20' C

Boiling Water = +100' C

What happens if you put +20' C Bronze into boiling water? Nothing spectacular
What happens if you put -20' C Bronze into boiling water? Nothing spectacular either.

Things only can go wrong if you deep-freeze the bronze to like -200' C and put it in +100' C boiling water, because the difference in temp is a lot higher.
