Patch v0.60: CWK AutoBan Glitch

Windraiders would've potentially become my new training spot, considering their EXP was jacked up from 400 to 800... and I can 1/2 hit them.. But it sucks that I may have to risk getting banned just to get there. Oh well, maybe I'll try it on one of my mule accounts to test which channels are screwy or not. XD

This is ridiculous. Should we even have to worry about something like this? This kind of thing is what Nexon is supposed to not let happen, the kind of thing we are not even supposed to propose might happen.. Sometimes I wonder, what is really going on when they "work". Every single article interview was based on what the game is about, what the content is about, but nothing of what they do when they are working. It would be nice to play the game with out cautiously going through each map thinking "am i going to be banned?"

also, to the people who were banned and sent tickets, did they flat out say "sorry, not only are you not going to be lifted, but this ban will be accounted for and you will no longer be allowed name changes and world transfers" or something to that effect?

Damnit! I was going to kill a HH for a guildmate of mine, and I got banned in ch1 Bent Tree. I was trying to be cautious and not do anything to the leprechauns, and it happened as I was jumping over one.

How are other people able to get past them?

When buying the 'World Transfer' scroll, it tells you that bans longer than 10 days will keep you from doing it, so I assume that name change is similar.

I just send this ticket to Nexon. Does anyone see something that will cause an automated response?

I was just given a 1 day block from MapleStory, but I'm not trying to contest my block.

I think there's a glitch in the Phantom Forest dealing with Leprechauns. I was just walking through the map Bent Tree and was jumping over a Leprechaun in its meso bag form. Suddenly, I was automatically blocked from the game and logged out. I think this is caused by a glitch in the game because all I was doing was walking through a map.

Could you please fix this glitch? I've read on fan forums that this is affecting other people as well.

When you enter Bent Tree from the haunted mansion map, there's a rope that allows you to go up to the upper-left portal towards the 3 npc's area - it was added with this last patch.
I've spent a ton of time in crimsonwood, and haven't gotten banned- i think the fact that i've been climbing that new rope rather than navigating past the possible leprachaun-bag spawn on middle part of that map helped.

Although, I was watching the OP's video and didn't notice a rope on the left when he entered Bent Tree around 2:14. :f6:

Huh. Interesting. Well, I didn't use the Manual Patcher, and I wasn't banned last night when I ventured through both Phantom Forest and the Crimsonwood Mountains...

I found that the cave with Jack is great now. Continuous Windraider and Stormbreaker Badges WHILE getting nice EXP. :3 Although after awhile, I left to search more around to see if there was a better cave with JUST Windraiders or something, and in the process, an Elder Wraith hit me and I died.

Isaac has had no problems but I still don't want to risk it. I'll probably try after I get my lunchbox. <_<

Islanders are dieing overall and I might as well try to keep the word out there that I'm still alive as are a few others. Besides, if/when I hit level 48, the more people that know about me the less I'll get "hacker D:" remarks and the more I'll get "grats".

Although I think I get less hacker comments from random noobs nowadays then I did a while ago. :o

So, the manual patcher is what has been setting it off? I admit, I used it too, and it would certainly explain why only a small portion of players are experiencing difficulty here. Also, I managed to escape my re-ban using a nearest town scroll. If you don't have any of them, get someone to drop you one before you log in, because the time before Autoban kicks back in is not very long.

If you have the key that lets you skip the JumpQuest, I'd recommend the first cliff map (key makes falling off less annoying). There are 4-5 platforms that spawn about 6-8 Windraiders each, plus about 6-7 more that spawn 2-3 Stormbreakers or Windraiders.

The Statues act as teleport points, especially good is one near the bottom that takes you right up to the top. From there you can just drop down, going left one time and right the next.

You get the Mark of Hero, or whatever it's called, from the quest that requires you to collect stuff for what's-his-name-that-is-a-past-Stormcaster, right? I still only have 6 Stormbreaker Badges for his quest... ugh, so hard to get them.

Some people, notably those who manual patched, have a different map.wz apparently. They don't have a rope added to the Bent Tree map (like in the video)

If you don't have this rope, you get banned as soon as you get hit. That's as much as I can gather ._. So uninstalling and reinstalling to make sure you have the correct bent tree map is a good way to go.

I've been in CWK ALOT and have not experienced any problems.

So if you auto-patched then there's no problems at all?


I'm really tempted to go check out the new exp rate at that windraider/stormbreaker map after I finish up a few quests that I still have to do. But I don't want to lose out on the lunchbox. :X

I was in the Phantom Forest just a minutes ago and i found no problem. I also saw the rope so that might be the problem. Could someone who did a manual patch look with a mule at the forest and tell us if the found the rope plz?

Would there be a size discrepency between people who used the auto-patcher and those who used the manual patcher and are lacking the map change? I'd be interested in seeing comparisons, just to see if there's a way to catch it.
