Possible fix for bossing on Windows XP

Tried bossing myself tonight, never had any trouble DCing at anything before the big bang patch, but then I DCed at zak the first run right when it died, maple froze and all, had to restart my whole computer. What I did was for the 2nd run changed to wide screen res, 1024x768 and then put my quality on lowest. Less problems, and just a little lag after the 2nd Zak died. Not a cure-all, but worth a shot i'd say? Also both paps I did went smoothly and perfectly using this.

full screen is what i tried. Experienced the same RAM overload and DC at horntail later though. Definitely not anything close to a confirmed solution, but just something to look into as it may work for you.

I'm running W7 and playing in 800x600 mode on low graphics made it possible for me to solo Zak arms without DCing. The 1st body then spawned in STEALTH MODE, though, so yeah.

Worth a try I guess. I'll try that next run. Really though it probably comes down to Nexon fixing the entire issue on their end. Whether they do that or not is questionable, and for some reason I doubt it.
