Post BB training for a Corsair
#1
So it seems that El Nath is the new spot for early 4th job classes, I was wondering what your opinion would be on training specifically for a Corsair though. I think I may have found a pretty efficient method of training at lycanthropes, which I'll share tomorrow cause I'm currently working on a physics lab, but for now what do you guys think will be the new best training spots for Corsairs until Lionheart Castle comes out?

Well I tried gigantic spirit vikings at 123 and got 36% per hr which is decent.
Are werewolfs better? I haven't been able to try em out yet.

~25-26%/hr at Vikerola on a very small sample (5 mins or so? I was looking for a Gallos map) at 121 with pretty much mostly non potential, largely clean equips. Range a little over 5k.

Werewolves are awesome. It's a series of broad, shallow platforms with great spawn and you can drop down from one platform to another and spam Torpedo. A teleport at the bottom takes you back to the top.

I've been training at Bains in Showa and been getting a fairly decent percentage from then at level 137.

Just a heads up. You should all try to pap twice a day. As a level 129 i was getting 12% per pap on 1x. Definitely really worth doing, cause its not a hard solo at all anymore.

Also, I've been training normally on Gig Spirit Vikings and Sometimes werewolves.. can't decide which I like better.

Well, ive tried gigantics, i didnt like the map much but i did like the teleport, leveled at werewolves, the map was nice but i dont like the slippery effect there that makes me run into things, and i just finished 14 percent at miners which i like but dont think are efficent since i was on 1.2x and the sometimes 1,5x with dice. I miss oblivion because i was used to my pattern there but i guess i'll have to get used to the new training spots.

I would, but I've heard Pap is glitched currently where it just DCs some people.

Yes that is indeed the case. My buc got a few graphical glitches (HP bar gone, Pap's body blinking in and out of existence, etc...) and was then DC'd.

My screen just goes black every time I try to pap on my shadower.

Bumping this thread cus I hope to be corsair within a couple of days and I would LOVE to gtfo of Gallos.

I have to agree with the werewolves in el nath for training as a sair. Soon as you hit their level (127).
Pap if you can though (as in you dont get DC'd), he's 125.

Late 11x and early 12x should be ludi at spirit vikings. The teleports there really help.

I tried red wyverns on my sair (i'm 134) and it sucked for the most part so I'd like to recommend avoiding those.

I'm 138, tried Zombies and Cornians but I didn't like either for different reasons.

Going to try out Bains.

Ugh, just tried Pap and died because of the glitch that lags you out until you disconnect. What's worse is that I don't have game music on by default, so didn't know the music started looping, I just realized it was gradually getting more and more laggy until my screen froze, and said I lost a safety charm. When I pressed "OK" the client simply stopped responding on a black screen.

I envy you guys that can actually Pap with the current glitch.

What do you guys think about training for a new Outlaw? I've been sitting on a level 70 Outlaw for awhile and would like to level it considering the new changes including the upcoming permanent Battleship. :p

Ariant/Magatia FTW, till u can Vikerola

and if u have mules, Solo Hoblin PQ is super awesome EXP, u just DC the other 2

Edit: Also if your Dice is low, Save it for Rex, it may land on 6, 165k extra EXP FTW

Edit 2: it gives 17% Exp / PQ without Dice at lvl 101 !!

I vote for the Mu Lung Captain mini dungeon. The monsters only spawn on 3 levels and you can pretty much cover the whole map without too much movement. (Battleship Torpedo)

What level is this for and about how much %/hr did you get?

12x-13x - Gallos is a great place for sairs with level 1-5 torpedo. Easy exp around 4-6 mobs per area and 1-hit every time.
127-132 - I recommend sharing a map with something at Red Dragon Turtles. These give around 2.2k each kill and really great mobs.
13x - 137 - A place I recommend for is miner zombies map 5. They give 2.5k exp and with level 1 torpedo you can easily kill them in 2-3 shots.

Drops Experiences :
Turtles - MW 20, Octo 20, Dark Gen 20, Steelies
Gallos - GFA 60%, Bottom Dex 60%
Zombies - Gold Teeth, Lvl 75 Capes

I'd say you could go as soon as you learn Torpedo. Maxed Battleship would also be helpful for the +700 Def boost and not have to carry around anymore ciders.

At 136 I got about 12% an hour without a good dice roll..(stupit ones)

I'd like to recommend Rextons for level 131+.

Not only are they pretty quick, they are easy to kill, and they also drop TT30 and Tobis and a couple of other goodies.
