I'm curious, how is life in scania? is it really that crowded? is it imposible to train? are most ppl there nice? will I get horribly ksed?

Its just HORRIBLE at popular maps. Jerks are found there..just go over any popular training spot and see the Ksers everywhere.
You'll feel its crowded in just two spots: FM mostly, sometimes you cant even get an FM ch1 spot. And of course, the training places that are known to be good. Its not "impossible" to train, but you're bound to find at least one Kser to greet you. With big bang coming.. its at least abit better since there are supposedly more training options.. tl;dr: Get to another server if you're a new player. There are better options.

I'm joining the scania bandwagon because some of my friends play there... which is weird, because they recently joined maple and they're ok with the server... as for me, I haven't been able to reach a popular map (lvl27 atm), so, I haven't been able to see anything, so, I have no opinion of the server atm, however, i'm curious about the fm prices, the scrolls I remember cost exactly the same in bellocan (or at least, that's how it used to be a year ago)...
Still, I'm not a new player, I came from a time when raching 4th job took months if you have enough spare time (btw, it took me a year, and it was only because a friend of mine leeched the las 20 lvlsme thanks to hs), which means that even crappy training spots are just awesome exp for me... I remember it took me like a month to reach lvl35, playing like 3-4 hours a day; now, thanks to the excesive amount of pots and the adjusted exp curve, I leveled to 27 in 3 days by playing just a few hours a day... About the ksers... As a cleric, I had to face a ton of those at voodoos... remember that it was the only place to train between from 50 to 80 for clerics... so, it's no big deal, specially considering I play only at night (there are less ppl at that time, right?)...

Scania is absolute shi.t compared to other servers. Too many bloody people, too many asshats, too many SMEGA/NX whores. Just..... it's plain blah.

Scania's not really the best server for a fresh start. Just too many people, hard to find decent maps, and connections are a problem if you want to do stuff like CHT and PB (although Big Bang makes this better).

I personally would go server like Khaini, Bellocan. Not too crowded, not too dead. Maybe Mardia/Kradia would be even better.

This is the server where every 2x event there was a waiting line to get in. If you didn't have a map 2 hours before 2x started, you were demoted to lolmobs. Oh you want to Horntail? DC hax you to death out of the altar. Oh now you don't want to HT? DC hax you even more.
You want to take a CH 1 FM spot? No DC hax there too. You want this Bigfoot? No that's mine i was here first kk? Oh you want this channel? Nope i was here first u nub wif nub damaeg. Fresh start with no mesos? please for the love of god go elsewhere. there's no way in hell you're gonna get a training spot. You might get KSd out of one tho  Well you get the point. Honestly, they should disallow character creation in Scania unless you already have a character in Scania. P.S. at this time, 95% of each channel is full.

I love scania, i started here and its easy to get mesos find friends etc, you shouldnt have much problem with that.I just came back from a 2 year break and things are way different, but its cool.
If u decide to play in scania or need mesos for a fresh start add me ign HbShadowz

Bera is my home server, and it was pretty awesome, but of the new servers, Bellocan is sure one of the best of them. Somewhat great community and a lot of (ex)SP people play there.
