Was Big Bang worth it?

On a scale from -3 to 3, I give it a 1. They did a lot of things right, but there are still many things that need to be fixed and/or just done outright.

Edit: I'm solely talking about NexonAM's Big Bang. Vanilla BB on the other hand, I'd give a 6/6.

The patch extension was fine w/e expected, but the lack of SP really defeats the whole reason of the first part of BB for me. On top of a lot of quests not working, unstable servers, and still having some errors.

Give it time.

The patch itself is extraordinarily useful. Nexon's method of implementing it is not. 2 and -1 respectively.

There are clearly some flaws left, shown by their decision to do a Restructuring five months later. It is otherwise acceptable.

Nexon's implementation on the other hand had some glitches. Outside of the skill point reset, I don't feel anything else was significant given the scope of the patch. When you have thousands of people downloading a patch from your server from across the world, and then attempting to log in at once, you're guaranteed to have issues. It'd be a miracle if none existed.

It's great! Couldn't have asked for more. However there are flaws with how Nexon went about it that need to be addressed.

Utter fail.

Today was like being forced to use a new TV but they forget to give you the remote that comes with it. You could be told all day how great the TV is but it sure doesn't matter since you can't take advantage of it.

Been playing for a few hours..made a new Rogue, and played a bit on my cleric and Fighter.

- Love the new interface.
- Created a new character and am loving the restructuring of Victoria Island, and the ease of hunting and completing quests.
- Very pleased with Magic Claw's new ability as a mob attack.
- Ecstatic about the tremendous buff to Bless.

The lack of SP reset is disappointing , but the rest more than made up for it.

I'll actually say it wasn't too bad but due to the lacking of good quality that went into it, I have a lot left to be desired. I mean I do like some of the new skills and point systems, but having to build skills I don't use just to pass into the next level, the near riot from the guild issues, and the lack of proper AP and even SP resets... not to forget half the challenges were nerfed down to preschool level stuff, I still have that bad taste in my mouth from Big Bang that tastes like rusty aluminum, burnt sulfur, and soured milk all rolled into one.

I'm kind forcing myself not to enjoy it, there are so many good things, but the one bad thing is the biggest.

It's alright. I love the new UI, new resolution, and less useless skills. Everything actually feels useful and not redundant now. I love my Paladin even more. I don't even have to pay attention to my HP and I can still survive easily. Also, I'm glad they made maps shorter, especially in places like stations where you had to walk long distances for no reason.

No full SP resets for each character is still disappointing though..

I have noticed my skills on my Paladin eat up my MP faster without MP Recovery working silently regenerating my MP when I'm not using it.

The fact I'm missing 10 SP is ruining my day a lot.

I would rather wait another week than have to deal with this fucking awful implementation. There's a big list of content-related things that should be on Nexon's to-do ASAP right now.

lack of a full sp reset scroll that we were supposed to get pretty much ruined it for me.

This was the one time I believed Nexon would absolutely step up and do the right thing, and they blew it. I don't have any words to describe how disappointed I am, both with them and this patch.

Having messed around for a little while on characters new and old I actually feel like it's made the game DULLER, as if that were even possible. Big Bang? More like Big Disappointment.

Hmmm, where to start...My character's messed up (I had used 2nd job skillpoints on 1st job skills), so I could barely use the SP they gave back. Then

I was assuming that it would be like last time's EXP curve where the EXP we earned would remain the same with the max lowered, but nope, it was set to a percentage, AND I lost 10% on top of that. Then throw in the fact that monsters give less exp now and have more hp, and the fact that 2x coupons dont exist anymore, so...what was the difference?

It seems they made a major fuss and changed a lot of things that ended up offsetting each other.

That being said, I like how they added portals in most big maps to tele you to the top so you dont have to climb/walk up again. Only positive thing I've seen so far. Everything else has me disappointed.

Ps. Hidden-Street is annoying me; they change all their monster stats to big bang stats, but leave all their maps the same...I wanted to look for mushmom, but had no idea how to get there.

Go right three maps of Henesys. The map is called Singing Mushroom Forest: Mushmom Forest Trail.
