No, they say that for the people who will patch now then attempt to keep playing having patched their client to .93. It's to prevent idiots from patching then whining. Patching now does no harm if you don't intend on logging until post patch.

Nah, it took 1~2mins to patch and my computer is not even that great lol. Just wait or try on the copy you "should" made xD

OK, so... either Nexon has implemented a new patching procedure or the instructions are wrong. We've never just copied a manual patch file, always had to run it. Guess we'll see what the deal is here in a bit. No changing patch files Nexon, please.

The manual patch file is an executable, not a bunch of files (which is what the notice seems to imply it is).
Do we run it?
Do we copy it to the MapleStory directory and then it will run by itself when we launch MapleStory after servers are up?

That would make some sense, the patcher would run when MS was started after the patch.. However since the game is now down and there's no reason to wait until they finish to get the files, it makes more sense to just run the manual patch file. As you noted, it's a .exe file extension, thus an executable. You can double click on it to run the patcher, which will update the .wz files as it would do if run after the patch. This way after the game servers are back up you can log in immediately without having to patch then.

Close the patcher and make sure that MapleStory aint running in the taskmanager. It did for me my first try, and then the patch could not finish. When only the patcher ran, it worked.

I recommend you guys have a backup game client on standby in case Nexon pineapples something up and you end up having to re-download the entire bloody client.

Asiasoft's been releasing pre-patches for a while so I'm fairly confident they won't screw it up, but for Nexon...

Stuck at Applying:Maplestory.exe for the past 15 minutes. No other processes are running other than the manual patcher before anyone suggests that.
