Why wait to download the Big Bang patch? Download NOW and avoid waiting on Tuesday.

The Manual Patch is only available to players who already have version 0.92 installed. So if you have an older version of MapleStory, you will have to wait till launch to update the game.

To manual patch please follow these instructions.

1. Download the Manual Patch here
2. WAIT! Do not proceed until the Big Bang update begins and the game servers are down.
3. Copy the Manual Patch files into your MapleStory folder, typically C:\Nexon\MapleStory
4. Once the Big Bang update completes and the game servers are back up...play Big Bang!

Please note if you copy the manual patch files into your MapleStory folder before the Big Bang update begins, you will not be able to start the game. Once the files are copied, MapleStory will only start after the Big Bang update is complete.

I would just make a copy of Your maplestory's folder, a last hour patch change would screw people with 100~ kb/s conection people like me

I think that was just a load of pomegranate. Running the patcher like normal and everything is going ok.

So... why do we have to wait 11 hours..?

I've always wondered about that. Why are the servers down for so long? Is it that hard to backup the files while the server is running and then apply the changes when it goes down? There is no way it takes them 11 hours to apply the patch.

No, they say that for the people who will patch now then attempt to keep playing having patched their client to .93. It's to prevent idiots from patching then whining. Patching now does no harm if you don't intend on logging until post patch.
