I think gunslingers are kind of fun, but what class would you recommend that levels quickly?

Beats me. I've been studying the warriors lately because of recent discoveries. I won't get into it as there's quite a few other threads with me nerdraging for a bit in them. I myself would probably aim for F/P, Cleric (Heal now has mastery), Bowman, or Bandit (but only if you can get to 3rd job). Take my ideas with a grain of salt, as someone else would probably give you a better answer.

Their event notice says they'll only be giving us SP resets 4 days from the patch, so I don't think that'll be a problem.

Edit: Disregard that, someone pointed out Hot Time is a 2nd reset scroll. All is well then.

Keep in mind that Divine Charge is the mace variant in Big Bang, so if you spec'd in swords, you will get all of SP back for it. The same goes for your Spearman if you spec'd anything in Polearm skills, HP Recovery, and Endure.

Ah, then my Paladin is gonna have 1 4th job SP free, as I said, since I'm specced for BW. So my 4th job looks like:
- 10 ACB
- 30 Blast
- 20 Divine Charge (BW pre-BB, shared post-BB)
- 30 HH
- 10 Stance
- 1 Rush
1 spare point (when I hit 153 I saved it cause I expected the BB) - Divine Shield 1, I guess


If the Polearm skills are what's getting reset, my Dark Knight has potential to be fixed up by the automatic reset. Depends how it works.
1st job - 72 SP in use (61 from 1st job, 11 from 2nd job) - 22 reset, hopefully I can spend 11 of those in 2nd job.
2nd job - 147 SP in use (110 from 2nd job, 37 from 3rd job) - 80 reset (new total 91 free SP), hopefully I can spend 37 of those in 3rd job.
3rd job - 114 SP in use (114 from 3rd job) - 41 reset (new total 78 free SP)

Getting a total of 143 SP reset for free is a lot better than some classes though.

They've been good about extensions recently. I think their ready. I'm expecting a maybe 2-3 hour extension at MOST. But other then that it'll be fine.

Divine Shield 1, I guess

Good choice for now I'd say. One in Divine Shield + Combat Orders means you'll have 3/12 points rather than 3/32 for Guardian.

Divine Shield: 3 Shield Proc Chance (when hit): 6%, Weapon ATT: +16, Number of Times Damage is Absorbed: 2, Cooldown: 30 sec
Guardian: 3 All Attribute Attack Tolerance: +3%, Abnormal Status Tolerance: +3%, Block Chance: 13% chance, Stun Duration: 2 sec
One point would benefit Guardian more, but Divine Shield maxed would raise your damage by a lot while training and bossing.

On another note, glad to hear that your Dark Knight will get a lot of points back. Skipping Sacrifice and Dragon's Blood, you'll definitely want those points back.

EDIT: How I'm assuming it will work, it will reset all of the points in skills that were missing and then you will be forced to replace the points in jobs which no longer have the requirement (61, 121, 151, 243). In other words, if you maxed everything in the first job, you'll get 16 + 8 back (Recovery and Endure). If you maxed your 2nd job skills, you'll get 90 back (20 from PA mastery, 20 from PA booster, 30 from PA FA, 10 from Hyper Body, 10 from Spear FA). Your third job will give you points back as well, but as I'm unsure how you spent them (since you didn't get Sacrifice and Dragon's Blood), I assume you'll get some back from the skills that lowered points (Spear Crusher) and PA Fury (deleted).

No. It really says " A maintenance to deploy the update". My guess is that the actual patch will be just after maintenance. Again, i might misread it.
