Ive really only ever seen the -tan used with anime characters representing something.

Well, -tan is Japanese. People would only use it if they are Japanese or talking about something Japanese like: Anime.

Obviously a chinchilla girl with goggles and something else. Possibly toast.

I still say we add a Bolero to her design. They're a cute accessory to a stylish top and have that hispanic heritage to them to add another layer to the relevance to Fiel.
