Advancing a Beginner Pre/Post Big Bang
#1
I just realized.

Currently, if you advance a Beginner that's beyond Level 31..
You won't get the SP for First Job, and only 1 SP for advancing.

But I have two theories.

A)
If you advance a Beginner now.
After Big Bang, you can use the Skill Reset (All) and get all your SP back for 1st and 2nd job, and play like you never had the problem in the first place!

B)
Will this change after Big Bang?
Beginners over Level 31 advance, and get all their SP back for all jobs?

Which theory will work, if already proven?
If not, which theory will most likely be true?

And also, your AP resets upon Job Advancement, correct?

I feel this is good information to be reviewed, thanks

P.S: Basically.
I have a level 50 Beginner and I don't play him anymore and never will..
Rather than delete him, should I advance him before Big Bang patch, and possibly have my normal skill points?
Or after Big Bang, if there is a change to this problem?

Thanks! Glitter

I'm pretty sure that advancing beginners at a later level will give them all their SP back, even before BB.

So, you can't at the moment. 1 SP each advance.

That must be a really old screenshot then.

You've got all missing SP for ages now.

I thought that was only for Level 10-30..

Past Level 30 I thought you were screwed o_O

Am I seriously wrong about this? lmfao.

I know Tespia isn't terribly useful in this discussion, but if a beginner on GMST got to 200 without advancing, (s)he would only get 1 sp for first job, 1 for second job, and would not be able to use that second sp on second job skills since too few points were applied to 1st job skills.

Whether this is a new glitch or a carry over from the existing client is indeterminable.

There's no harm in trying! It will be a learning experience for us all.

Not true. I had a beginner friend who was level 120 on his, he advanced it to DrK over the summer I believe, and it was utter trash. It was missing SP, HP, etc.

If I do try.. should I advance my Beginner now? And try for that Skill Reset with the Big Bang patch..
Or try AFTER the Big Bang, if they possibly changed the advancement thing?

Yeah.. in general, bad idea. Once a Beginner, always a Beginner xP
