Part of the reason your image was bad quality is because the person that edited the images for the translation doesn't know how to properly edit comics. The original image is jpg, and the person that edited the image for their translation probably saved it again as jpg without setting the quality to 12. Then it's possible you cropped it and saved it a again in jpg, it just kept losing quality with each save.

So if you'd prefer the "Don" sound effect in there, I'll be happy to edit it in for you. I don't do manga edits that much, especially not in color, but I assure you I can do a better job than the person that originally translated this.

There's a pecking order, you're right. Admins can infract anyone below them (mods and regulars) and mods can only infract regulars.

Yea, you did, and I don't have a fetish for low quality jpg's. It's Fine, it was beginning to bug me as well something that I wanted to do, but you did a better job than I would've probably. I'm not very good at it.
