Nexon needs to take in consideration the reaction of their current community. Disney is going to try to industrialize through the MapleStory game franchise, and perhaps try to make the game more for its following new younger based community brought in with such television show- the same community that watches Hannah Montanna, listen to the Jonas Brothers, and plays Club Penguin. It'd change the feel of the game for its current players and ultimately causing most of us current players feeling they should quit, leaving only the influx of Disney-loving children left. And a Mickey Mouse or Jonas Brothers figure hanging around my favorite game? No thank you, I like my game the way it is.

Sleepywood(erm, the owner) has banished Fiel. I don't believe Fiel banished Aduro from here. :o


At any rate, thinking about this more...seriously, I think Mickey ear hats for characters would be awesome! But yea, unless Disney would just take a stake and then do little advertising things like that and not much else, I don't think I'd want them messing with the gameplay.

can you imagine the NPCs? theyd change everything. showa would be deleted cuz its "too violent"even nerfed, grendel would probably be changed, and nesscicarily, I would puke and go shoot up disney with a AK-47

What's to say that they would put content in Maple, then? As someone has mentioned already - this game is already successful in terms of bringing in revenue. I could see them doing a few events with Disney incorporated themes in them... but nothing long term.

That would actually be fun... but the thing is... I think Squeeeenix (Square-Enix) has the rights of all the non-Disney characters in Kingdom Hearts? Or atleast has a say so in when Disney can and can't use those characters. I just seriously doubt we'd have anything to do with Kingdom Hearts, if Disney did end up owning Nexon Korea.

It would be cool though... if we had a Pirates of the Carribean event. Then, we might get the Pirate class... along with a Jack NPC.

What about Masteria? They probably would stop releasing those areas, or probably they'd start adding Disney-based areas.. Oo

Disneyland would be fun, but I don't want Disney to ruin NEXON's plans on the release of the Masteria areas.

Right. Look at the their three MMORPGs.

Toontown. Epic fail. You have to pay and it still sucks.
Pirates of the Caribbean. It sucks. Even if you don't pay, it's like a "trial version."
Club Penguin. Okay okay, it's actually pretty good, but
a) It's flash.
b) It wasn't created by Disney.

they actually bought some MMORPG games, which were totally win after couple months. even better than the old company of the game.

but yet- i wouldn't want to play a disney's games. sound so babyish.

Its actually the exact opposite, as i recall, Disney owns all Kingdom Hearts Specific Characters ( Sora, Riku, Kairi, Ansem, etc.)

As for Disney taking over... If they let Nexon run the show.... but gave Disney funding... we might have a better game
