Premium Mini-dungeons in EMS.

I dont really care about the exp rates, I for one rarely benefit from them. Though I do agree on the part of people afraid of losing their edge. This reminded me of when NLC was introduced into some other version and many gMS were raging over it

I think you might mean CWK being released into MSEA (but I'm sure there were other times.) And it wasn't the fact that they got it, it's the fact that they got a better version of what WE (well, Nexon AM) made.

So what if i'm level 200?
I didnt use this event to get to 200, i was 150 with 3rd job <.< EMS was stuck with grim phantom watches as the best grindspot for 1 year.
The only thing i've used the PMD for is to get rare items. I enjoy grinding and i simply refuse to grind with these EXP rates, but i in no way find it game-breaking.

And no i really don't think 20x breaks the game.. especially not when it's for 3 weeks and after that it's back to normal.

Edit: And if what above says is true, then you had 21.6x exp too.

It won't be for 3 weeks. It'll be back again, and again, and again. You overly indulge players once, and they will want more. And more. And more. This is why GMS has some very broken events.

Nope, I mean the very basic town of NLC, no CWK, no Mansion. I think it was tms that got it....but unsure now. They got the very same thing, yet (some, not generalizing here) were mad at the fact someone got they'r "exclusive" content.

Did they have 20x 24/7 for three weeks, or just for timed events? If it was 24/7, then yeah, that's broken.

Why the hell is everyone so obsessed with demonstrating EMS's inferiority?

Because for some f'ucked up reason people who play other MapleStory versions like to dis other MapleStory versions about stuff they think is unfair because their version of MapleStory doesn't have those things.

It's like how regularly you'll see KMS/JMS players bashing "broken" things in GMS because the main version they play doesn't have those things and they think it's not balanced.

Curiosity.....out of those claiming eMS is rubbish, how many have actually played it? I played gms and found it rubbish, and never regreted moving to eMS, so therefore gMS is rubbish?

I know at least 16 people from Finnish maple forums who claimed eMS to be rubbish, after these exp rates (or before). And they have all played eMS.

If eMS wasn't what it is, I would move straight to it. It is the version where I actually COULD play during 2x events. Where server checks and patches would be during night. I could get a purple surfboard for my Aran. I could make accounts there. I even could buy nx via Paypal.

Nexon NA does some horrible things to Europeans in gMS, but when eMS has 21x exp rates and is full of German/French kids, I'll just stay in gMS.

Europeans are less tolerant of inane grind than Americans and Asians are. Or in more insulting terms, they do better things with their time while we grind Maplestory. And people wonder why Europe looks down upon America...

Finland is as nerdy as US, if not nerdier. Like 95% of the country has access to internet.

Why Europe tends to look down on America is because of politics. Scandinavia has free health care + education and "less corrupted" leaders. Of course, those are only free for the very poorest ones (alcoholists/beggers/immigrants). Normal people will still have to pay for everything via taxes (that are higher than in the US).

I fail to see how having access to the internet implies nerdiness. It's 2010 - everyone uses the internet daily, and while some use it more than others, we all use it more than we did five years ago. I agree with one of Sweden's recent decisions: internet access has become a basic right.

First of all it's not actually 21.6x, that's only if you count HS as a 1.5 multiplier to the base exp of the monster, which it isn't.
Also, the high rates are not permanent, so we will have it for 3 more days and then gone.
The amount of people who are able to get that kind of exp rates are RARE, it takes a ton to unlock it and ringmules are very very rare by now.
Also EMS is full of german/french kids? You're being a bit generalizing, i agree that some german kids are annoying but there are barely any french players in EMS. Also german players tend to stay in the german channels, thus, you wont meet them unless you go there.

Oh and FYI, to me GMS is rubbish too, i played it since the start almost and till around summer 2 years ago, and to me, from the people i met, the general population in GMS are selfish, greedy and would rip their best friend if it'd make them godlier. But this is just from the people i met, i also met nice people and i know that there are nice people in GMS, no doubt about that, but to me EMS has an amazing community, great events and saying that we got a pomegranatety content rate is bullpomegranate we're getting content faster than GMS did, EMS is what 2-3 years younger than GMS and we're what 8-10 months behind you?

Maple is about a lot of other things than grinding, atleast that's what i experience, i'm having fun bossing and just doing random things with buddies.
Also it's still not 21.7x rates, it is lower, and that's not how it's normally like, one of the main factors is that you have to be in a mini dungeon.
And one of the main reasons why nexon gave us HT books from the dungeons is simply, we asked for it, barely anybody could HT and it is extremely monopolized, and i think it's a great move. I was also one of the people who was HT running.

I just had to reply, am waiting for my breakfeast, also in denmark i think 95% of denmark got access to internet too, it's something around that. But that doesnt show that we're nerdy.

If you wanna meassure your plantains, why not do so with PMs. It's the same damn game, I find bloated exp rates horrible and cannot see how anyone can defend it, but we have had unfair crap in GMS too, the firsl few gold box events, Maple Crystal mini dungeon event and stuff like it. I doubt there's much difference between the EU games contra the US one either.

Also the first person to get to 200 in EMS, itzmjauz was also 130 with 2nd job on his first assasin before 3rd job was released, he grinded and grinded at the grind spots avaible.

I went from 115~118. If I would go on, lets say, 4x at GMS I would've got 120 yesterday. So my point being, is that we need alot more exp than global and korean version of Maplestory. If they would give you access at 20x exp rates at global it wont be hard to get to 200 and to get a 20x rate you need: RM (2.5mill), cash (1150 nx), PMD (1K nx each ticket), HS (gotta find a priest for it), REP 2x(2mill) /event 2x and that it still not 20x, I don't even know how to get 20x lol :p.

If you do not find exp rates like that game-breaking, then I can't do much about it. But personally, your rankings already tell enough about the state of eMS.

eMS players just can't be compared to players from other versions, cause your version is over ten times easier.

The point was "We do not have any high level place you guys don't.". I responded to that point that GMS does indeed have many places EMS doesn't. I don't care if it's good for exp or whatever, I just responded with that list to proof he was wrong on that statement.
