What to do with my Stirgeman pants?
#1
So I decided to rummage through my mules to see if I could make some money before Big Bang, and I found I had six pairs of Stirgeman pants sitting on an account I haven't touched in over a year. I'm debating on whether to sell them clean (I understand they're worth a lot more than when they were first released) or gamble and attempt to upgrade them myself. Hopefully they're still upgradeable post-BB, since I will be out of town this weekend.

Since all my characters are female, upgrading the pants would do me no good since I can't even equip them. However, my husband plays a corsair, and if I managed to get the mini-HB pants it would be nice to give them to him, plus we could also sell the "service" to other characters.

What do you think?

Sell them now before they lose value. @_@

:< That's disappointing.

Oh well. Guess I'll sell a couple pair and keep the rest to upgrade later.

I would upgrade them to their level 70 version, go for a 90% potential, and then sell them.

The chances of them actually getting to 70 are pretty slim. The chances of them getting to 70 AND pot working are slimmer.
Time is of the essence. Post BB we cant glitch HB on (I dont think) so I would imagine that they would be worth more before BB.

Can anyone confirm that post BB you can't glitch HB or any of the other skills anymore?

Beginner skills don't get affected by the SP Reset Scroll.

dont. go for level 90.

simply put - stirgys are the only pants-option for bowmen / pirates / mages, meaning that unique 3 line level 90s are worth quite a bit since they are by far the best option availible for said classes (with +%dex or int respectively). and if you happen to get HB on them, then that's a bonus.

that said - i've blown up 4 pairs already. chances of them poofing seem to me around 33% or so on the first upgrade, so its a risky thing to do. even worse to consider getting them 3 line'd (if you get 2 line you can re-upgrade to get another set to pot. but then of course you can blow them up again with the pot scroll itself).

might simply be worth selling them. nevermind the fact that the process to upgrade is a pain in the ass in itself unless you have a bandit - the monsters barely drop the proper etc items for it, so steal helps here. theres also no good place to hunt the green ghosts that drop 2 of the neccessary etc drops. so yeah...

I can hunt 3 upgrade times in 30 minutes on 2xdrop :f6:. My pants so far went 30>30>30>20>30, if that's of any use to you.

i dont do 2x drop (too cheap) but that makes sense. with steal on my dit i get ~ 2-3 upgrades worth in an hour. thts still unneccessarily long though since the only actual bottleneck is the ghosts. they have rooms dedicated to every other monster in the mansion except that thing. it upsets me.

I have blown up over 18 pairs of stirge pants in my quest for lvl 90 ones, so don't think it's easy.
I got lvl 70 pants twice, I tried upgrading the first pair but they blew up. Sold the second pair.
