As for my top 5 hates:

1. animal abuse (especially toward dogs)
2. anyone that hates dogs
3. people that can't shut up even when everyone is obviously getting annoyed
4. not being able to find the problem in one of my programs only to realize that it was a missing semicolon an hour later
5. people that can't spend money wisely
