I am amused at how linear 1-120 is now, and a smoother 121-200 curve. Looks like 1-120.... will be a blast.

First rule of making graphs is that they should pretty much explain themselves. If you have no real grasp about the exp needed for each level, this wont tell you much. Fortunantly we do here at SP at least.

Was going through the forums to see how they reacted and this happned:
Quote:No, in fact its more difficult to level after bigbang because now I can't train on himes at level 60 due to the new fricken miss system.*facepalm*

I wonder whether Nexon watch us that closely, or whether someone over there actually looked at their original graph and said "this is worse than useless".
Anyway, nice that they've posted new graphs that are much clearer (and better at making people happy at how easy it's going to be to level). A label on the Y axis would have been nice, but those numbers don't actually mean anything. How hard are 1m experience points to get? How many do you get per monster kill, party quest, or quest? In fact, I'd like to see a graph of "how many regular mobs my level do I have to kill to advance to next level?", before and after. (Still doesn't take into account hits-to-kill and the like, but it'd nevertheless be far more meaningful than just a raw exp number).

Obviously since the highest level mob is 13x, I'm gonna skip the "my level" part, and just pick the mob which is 153 post-BB and happens to be the highest level Holy target atm. Before BB: 33600 Skelesaurs to level, 85k hp each = 2.8 billion damage After BB: 19300 Skelesaurs to level, 260k hp each = 5 billion damage Then there's the change in skills and base range. Skill: 26% higher percentage on mob attacks (ACB is 37% higher, Holy is 8% lower) Range: 49% higher average So on the whole, my 2.8 billion damage (present) will become 5.25 billion damage (post-BB) Meaning if the spawn and my killing efficiency is similar, 5% faster training? It should be a little better because right now I do a fair amount of overkill.

I complained first, but then I though it's not that bad cause 2x buffs got nerfed. I think they should have kept 2x buffs and remove cards like jMS did though.
Besides, this maple is better than leech-maple.

Stereo Wrote:I can only really contribute one data point, cause I'm lazy. I'll add my data point, then. Today I train on Chief Oblivion Guardians, @ 7060 exp per kill, 583,827,855 exp tnl, so 82,695 kills to level. They have 141k hp and I 2-hit them for approximately 1000 kills/hour. About 83 hours to level. After BB I will train on the same Chief Oblivion Guardians (after redoing all the 999 quests, oh joy), @ 7099 per kill, 365,276,774 exp tnl, so only 51,454 kills to level. However, they will have 390k hp. Unlike you, I have no idea how much more damage I'm going to be doing. 2-hit? 3-hit? 4-hit? Guess I'll just have to wait and see.

Behold my Excel (Open Office Calc, actually) skillz, noobier than even Nexon's:
How many kills of monsters the same level as the character are needed to level up, before and after BB? ![]() ![]() The pre-bb data points are few and far between because (a) I'm lazy and (b) people don't really train on mobs their level. The points I use for pre-bb assume training at MP3, Windraiders, Gallos, Skeles, and Oblivion 4 as sort of anchors. The under-50 data is kinda meaningless since everyone CPQ's, but I only thought of that after entering it... Highest level mob before BB is 131 and after is 166, so of course higher level characters can't train on mobs their own level.

Unlabeled y-axis could mean that they are non-linear. It could be a Log-scale graphic (meaning that exp now goes at e^x^x, a double exponential) or rather an exponential scale meaning levels now take about log x of what it was before!

Cyanne already created formulas for this. While he was not accurate, he was pretty darned close. http://www.southperry.net/showthread.php?t=28926

Uh, just wondering but it says Dec 2nd on the site does that mean the lvl curve is already in effect, or do we still have to wait till the 7th?
2010-12-03, 06:40 PM
??? If it was already in effect people would be hitting 170+ in a day, seriously. Post-exp curve with pre-large exp bosses? Ridiculously fast grinding.

Quote:... and hope you are looking forward to Big Bang on December 7! With 4th job curved halved? Nope... But at least getting mules higher up for some quests or other functions might be fun... maybe.

shouri Wrote:Does this take into account the new critical system? 0.o 5% crits for 35% damage (average) = 1.75% damage increase. Didn't take it into account cause it's way too unreliable (1 in 20 attacks will get crit dmg) On reflection, I didn't take into account PDR, which means I'll be doing from 5% to 20% less dps (specifics: 5% pdr on monks/guardians, 20% on chief guardians, 10% on skelesaurs). So as far as I can tell, training will actually be slower post-BB, unless the larger spawn rate makes a difference...

Also, doesn't training increase a ton when partying at lionheart castle? I know it's not with big bang, but it should be sometime soon after.
