Big Bang Level EXP Curve
#41
I think it's marked every 5 billion EXP, as best i can tell at any rate. Which would put the first line at L165 (current) and L177 (BB). Perhaps someone would care to make a better graph? Seeing as the data is known and all.

Yeah, I'm sure someone here could throw together a simple % graph from 1-200 containing the % difference from prior to after and people would understand it a whole lot better.

For example (not accurate) level 50 takes 47% the prior exp. Even if it isn't an accurate value for how much "easier" it is to level, it would be good to show the hard values.

They did put a better graph up actually.

Looks like they heard the screams... redone graphs. I would still like to see original EXP vs Current vs BB but it's a big cut no matter which you use.

Quote:One of the biggest features in Big Bang is a revamped level experience curve. In the biggest update ever for MapleStory, leveling is an enjoyable challenge, not a difficult climb. Our focus was to help as many players as possible experience the varied and fantastic content we’ve developed over the last 5 years. We’re presenting visual graphs of the level by level gains needed to go from level 1 to 200 in Big Bang. Enjoy!

The early EXP needs have been dramatically reduced so players can spend more time diving into the deep world of MapleStory.

Level 31 through 70 are critical levels and the hardcore Maple experience begins here. Overall, levels 1 through 70 can be achieved 5x faster compared to the original EXP curve!

Maple characters gain some serious skills by level 120. So the EXP needed to get to level 120 is a third of the previous requirement.

Finally, the total EXP needed to reach level 200 is halved! It will still require the same amount of dedication though!

The new level curve puts an emphasis on rewarding you for hard work and helping you experience the best adventures in the game. Thanks again, and hope you are looking forward to Big Bang on December 7!

I still think the straight line near every job advancement is hilarious.

The straight lines are actually accurate.

Still no fucking y axis, Nexon.

HERE'S A GRAPH. AS YOU CAN SEE, THIS LINE GETS HIGHER FASTER. THIS INDICATES GOODNESS.

Was totally confused after I initially saw the graph. You really need to label things for graphs to make any sense.

The graphs still look like they're out of a high school lab report. Hand an intern some numbers and tell them to graph it in Excel, done in 5 minutes.

Hm, I think the general message of the graph is still there even without a y-axis. If a y-axis was included with units labeled, I think it may scare off the newer players who dream of reaching 120 and beyond.

But... those graphs look like they were done in Paint...

That, or they're working with an outdated version of Excel. Rolleyes

I dunno, I feel that looking at the official site makes me think that the EXP curve is divided into 4 parts, each starting with similar EXP, instead of the new EXP curve being... like... totally revamped. :f6:
