what's the point of reverse/timeless overalls?
#1
A top/bottom gives you the same potential bonus as an overall , so what exactly would be the point in getting a reverse overall not just for warriors/thieves but for everyone, the potential bonuses are the same, sure theres slightly better stats for magicians/bowmen/pirates but considering that once you equip them it becomes untradeable what is the point?

I think that either overalls should give 1.5x or 2x the potential bonus they give now or that at least reverse/timeless overalls should be changed to level 121 ( or receive that potential bonus instead of the 71-120 range one ) , some of you might say that its less money for Nexon since people would spend half the amount of cubes then they regularly would if it was 2x the potential of other top/bottoms but it's only one equip type , I honestly don't think it'll effect their income that much but if you're so concerned about nexon's POV then why not have specifically designated cubes for overalls that a little more, say 1.6k NX instead of 1.2 .

Might as well ask why 1h+shield adds the same bonuses individually as 2h weapons, and why Kataras+Daggers get those bonuses, too...

The potential system is not well enough balanced that it really matters.

my way of seeing it is some people don't have the monies to afford pre scrolled stuffs, so they turn to maker to get it themselves without having to invest too much in scrolling.

Otherwise it's just for the looks and not for the stats. I'd personally like to have a reverse/timeless overall on my buccaneer, but he can't wear it cause he doesn't have the dex for it.

I don't care, cause I don't have nx for the cubes anyways. And no, getting 2billion mesos for decent potential equip is impossible for me without nx.

Because as a female mage I can't get HB, and I was high luk to start with. >_>

Because us poor archers dont have any tops over level 40. Same thing for mages (except they dont have top/bottoms even earlier). I think I'd much rather potential a 120 overall than I would a 40 top/bottom set, but that's just me. Then again, I guess there're those common Stirgeman pants, but there arent any common high leveled tops to go with that.

why spend twice as much nx to get a top and bottom to unique rather than just an overall

Well in GMS you can make the android top + bottom. That alone beats all overalls up till 121+.

Android pants/tops give the same potential as lvl 40 archer top/bottoms. But I suppose for Pirates and Mages it is the best option.

Male characters get the best deal though with lvl 90 stirgeman pants.

Because you get twice as many potential lines. It's pretty simple. For a warrior, it's no contest. lvl 80-100 Top+Bottom = 6 lines.

As someone already stated; bowmen, mages, and pirates don't have the luxury of 71+ bottoms with the exception of lvl 90 stirgeman pants, and even then, theres still no lvl 71+ top. Warriors and thieves for the most part do use tops and bottoms. It's a waste, unless you spend alot of money already on the game, to cube top and bottoms under lvl 70.
Would you rather cube 1 item to 15%+, or cube 2 items to unique and get 6-10% of a stat on each? I'd sacrifice 5% of a stat to save what could be anywhere from 50k to 200k nx for that extra item to cube.

Yup, with potential system, Top+Bottom (6 lines) and 1h+Shield (6 lines) is the defacto way to go due to the doubling of the amount of potential bonuses you can have instead of Overall (3 lines) and 2h (3 lines).

if you play a class that has the option of 71+ top/bottom, there's no reason not to go with that as they give the same bonus's as a level 120 reverse overall. I still think that reverse/timeless items should be 121. it's ridiculous that a reverse weapon pales in comparison to a VIP weapon from a party quest.

It is about time they came up with some higher level items than lv 120 that we can Maker.

Oh and some top/bottoms over lv 40 for archers...

Honestly, i'm just using an overall instead of a top/bottom because i'm the type that prefers using equips that are closer to my level rather than just using equips that give the best stat bonuses. And as was stated before, I don't feel like spending twice as much NX in that area when it's already bad enough with a sword, shield, shoes, cape, glasses, helmet, etc etc to potential. -_-
