Anyone crashing more after the windows 7 fix patch?
#41
After this "fix" my connections are the worst they have ever been. >.< I use XP and at times maple vanishes, no error, just gone. And the GM Police dc'ed me in the skelle mini dungon. I think the made XP work like 7 & Vista. >.<

My client is perfectly fine - and better - after this patch. It's actually good. I'm going to try Sabitrama JQ and report after, though - it used to DC me a LOT.

Oh, and I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium x64.

Yeah i also dc'd today in mini dungeon ... i cant even log in windows 7 anymore im tired of it like serious, i cant stay for more than 5 minutes online and i have to try like 3 times so i can log ...

But yeah lol, if you read my posts in the SC thread I complained like hell. W7 is crashing more randomly, even though (beside Dojo) I seem to do better at bosses.

My PC is pretty good, but its not about the PC, as i said in my other posts, i got windows 7 and XP in the same PC, i just switch to XP whenever im playing maple

Tried to do that to solve Zakum problems, the arms stayed invisible.

For me it's always been too late after something disappears.
Changing graphics frequently was a pre-emptive measure.

My graphics problems have become worse. Going through multiple portals slows me down considerably. My old boss problems have extended to new bosses and have become worse at the older bosses. I am honestly contemplating buying xp or just dropping maple altogether.

Running w7 64 bit

changing graphics doesn't seem to make any difference for me. I don't "lag" per se, I just dc. With my new computer and fast internet connection I don't "lag" on Maple like I have in the past. There is no "stuttering" or pot lag, I can even pick up drops as i run over them. In years past, it would be a 1 to 2 second delay in picking up items as my wireless connection wasn't the best, which was really bad because the time between pushing "pick up" and having the itme pick up you wouldn't be able to pot. I would say my connection and movement now is silky smooth, I keep getting the impression that there is some bug in maple and win7 that shuts it down or causes weird problems to happen when too many graphics are loaded at once.

Too bad most of us have NEEDED to do this EVERY TIME at bosses like zakum just to not dc at the bodies. It shouldn't be mandatory to change the graphics settings; it should be however we want to play the game. My computer can handle the highest resolution, but i can't play on it because of Windows 7's constant threat of Disconnecting. Even when i play on lowest quality, i STILL disconnect with no rhyme or reason.

I don't go on Zakum runs because i disconnect everytime regardless of changing graphics. And it's not just at the body. I dc on arms sometimes, disconnecting at the summoning or even worse, just when you get to the altar.

Hell even my netbook plays better and doesn't disconnect at all. I just wouldn't bring it to a boss run because it can't handle that many graphics all at once (it's crappy computer).

Same here. As much as I love my W7 x64, MS does not, So I'm left with no choice but to Dual boot.

I've been watching MS on my Netbook...

Peak RAM usage seems to be way, way up... as in 800+ MB after I log in and move a few maps.

It's actually becoming a problem because it keeps tripping the max Virtual Memory warning in WinXP, which seems to freeze MS.

Mines is the same as Stereo's, I use 621k... Tongue Well I don't particularly dc or anything but I do have issues with the switching to full screen to windows mode and full screen again bug. It just becomes "unresponsive" as Nexon deemed it. I also can't even properly switch users to try and log into 2 accounts when leaving 1 or both of them in windows mode because it becomes "unresponsive." I can't see anything going on in the game, but I sure as hell can click that big X button on top.

As for Lock's usage thats what happens to me when MS doesn't even load I get a mere 49k usage with no client appearing. Thats when I have to force end process on task manager.

Whenever my client does that it just says 0 CPU usage and actually has a very high memory usage (about 591k or so) but when I'm playing normally it's usually around 40k-80k.

This patch is really strange they did something to the graphics engine so that it now stablizes the FPS for all clients... I used to be able to pull 200 fps in window mode always (full screen was always 60), because of this patch however.. my laptop runs MS so much better but i still get errors "Out of memory" or the common no error just crash+close on its own. It's been doing that since before this patch.

Haven't crashed, but maple hangs frequently even with the lowest graphic settings. I used to be able to play the game, max graphics, FF + Itunes running in the background with no hang whatsoever.

-> When just login in, MS eats up 289k of memory tops.
-> After entering cash shop it jumps to 315k and stays like that even after exiting. It keeps increasing after doing different stuff for a while.

I'm by no means tech savy, but is it possible that maple is not releasing memory like it should? Something like how firefox used to hog insane amounts of memory after running for a while?

o wow, i thought it was something wrong with my windows XP, i had the same problem just today .... it was hitting 800 mb RAM, i got 4 GB (windows XP 32 bits only reads 3.25 GB i believe) and even with 3.25 GB my maple gets stuck when the RAM starts to go up >_>
