To those talking about the remaining "communist" countries, they are not in any way a communist country, most of them are single party dictatorships who use the guise of something virtuous like communism to further their own goals and perpetuate their rule.

to put it bluntly there has never been a true communist country in world history, it has yet to be done and I suggest you all read up abit on what communism really is, because before I knew what it was I had an idea as to what I thought government and country should look like and operate and my history teacher told me I was a communist after reading books like "Das Kapital" and "The Communist Manifesto" and many others, I realised three things, 1.My ideas weren't original and that I was indeed a communist, 2.Communism has never been tried and 3. Communism isn't something bad at all and that the "red scare" worked really fucking well till this day.

however the only way to bring about a communist government that would work would be to convert one of the worlds powerfull countries from the inside because if you were to try and start one yourself big buissness interests would never allow it to work and would sabotage it all costs because if people were to see that it actually can work then these greedy rich cocksuckers won't be able to control the rest of the fucking planet.

The communist manifesto, The capital and all Engels and Marx texts are impossible to apply in the world as it is today. It's nice and all on paper, but not in real world. You have to take into account what was the public Marx aimed for in the 1800s when he wrote his texts. They're outdated and out of possible reach now.

I just ment to read those to get a general idea of what communism is about.

many things have changed but it is still very applicable and if there is ever to be peace on this forsaken planet then communism is the form society will eventually have to take.

simply saying that it is not possible is not an arguement against it nor is it the end all be all. ( not to imply that you can't elaborate , its just most people say " but its impossible " and think thats enough to refute an entire political,social and economic theory )

South Korea mobilized a ton of troops to the front lines and their defense minister resigned after being under fire from the public for not responding asap. If war were to break out.. they'd be steamrolled so fast it wouldn't be funny. Even with our 25,000ish troops there they'd be crushed because North Korea has a million man army. And where are WE going to get troops? We're so outstretched in our military. We'd be facing similar problems Rome would have faced.

Why is North Korea getting to pissed off by some simple drills? NK is over reacting.

If they do keep up the trolling to the point of war, they will not gain much. South Korea might be hurt in the initial attack, but in the long term North Korea would fall.

its essentialy fighting enemies from the 70's who even by the 70's standards were very sloppy, poorly organized and poorly equiped.

The same thing happened during Desert Storm with Saddam Husein's army as well. In fact many of them surrendered out of just wanting food or water due to their poor supplies. Plus take into account that many of these people might also only be armed civilians forced into service who would quickly run away, surrender, or shoot their own leaders just to taste freedom.

If anything you'd see more people surrendering just to get humane and ethical treatment, food, water, medical care, etc. In short, if they did try anything, North Korea would have the advantage for the first few days, but when food becomes scarce, water goes bad, supplies run out, people get tired of being in a war they didn't want to fight, what would become the Greatest Conflict of the Korean Peninsula of the 21st century would collapse into the Greatest Humanitarian Disaster of the 21st century.

Thing is the soon-to-be new leader's gotta demonstrate his ability to rule somehow. That's what this whole offensive thing's about IMO.

And these people have been conditioned to fear their superiors and obey their rulers, they won't easily want to surrender unless their generals do, and given the totalitarian nature of the Kims, I doubt that will happen within a matter of days, or at all even; they might fight to the death.

North Korea has less to lose than South. If war begins, Seuol will be destroyed, no matter what SK and US try to do about it. And South Korea will avoid killing civilians, but I don't think NK cares much...

The only way Seoul could be saved would be nuking all of NK at once(and even then it'd be hard). Except hardly anybody would do that, even if more people would be saved that way. Personally I would've done that a long time ago if I had the chance to(or just evacuate Seoul and the like then attack). Would suck for the people in NK that want to live a normal live(unless it's possible to take out just the NK military) but it's probably going to be the only way. Unless NK suddenly decides they've had enough of this stupid conflict and just wants to be friends.
