The Walking Dead

I can't believe this hasn't been made yet. If you are not watching it, what is wrong with you? It's probably the only show I'll schedule my entire day around, just to make sure I watch it.

Couldn't get into it.
It's not having what you want - It's wanting what you've got.

I just realised....

I didn't watch it yesterday! D:

Did they explain why the walkers exist? Or not yet?

I don't watch TV, but it seems interesting.

I skimmed through the Graphic Novels, but eh. My mom watches it, but that's about it.

It's better than the books, IMO. It's really good.

Is there anywhere that you could watch it online? I've missed 2 episodes already >.> I only watched the first one.

Watched the first episode last week. I really liked it. Haven't had much time to watch the second episode even though I really want to watch it.

Only gripe is I don't want them to explain how all this pomegranate happened mid season. (Which looks like what will happen in Season 2)

They just hinted at the origin of the "walkers" from the CDC episode with something named "project wildfire".

I didn't think I'd get into it as well, but for a zombie/slasher/horror series, it's actually pretty good. They make the zombies seem more real and less movieish.

I believe Wildfire is the code name for the outbreak. They are actually doing some more sciency things with the tv series than with the comics. I have the first book out of 6, and it's deviated by quite a lot.

It's a pretty disappointing series, especially considering that they have 79 comic books to work off from. The first episode was decent and the very final 4 minutes of the forth episode where the "attack" takes place is amazing. The forth episode also happened to be written by the comic book creator. The main death that happens at the end is also probably the only death I cared about compared to everyone else who died.

I find the pacing of the show horrible and the character build up not as good as it should be. I just don't care what happens to half of these people and it doesn't help that Rick is pretty boring so far. It's not like it's the actor's fault, he doesn't have a lot to work with really besides being the caring group leader role. Maybe I just find it annoying that a certain someone is still alive which is probably one of the most important drive into shaping who Rick becomes later on.

I am assuming they played it safe this season because ending the season off with the certain someone dying is pretty dramatic to end off with and in case they didn't get picked up for a second season, that would be a horrible point to leave it off at.

I really hope things start to pick up in the second season so maybe the audience can get SOMEWHAT attached to the characters.

Well, they do only have 6 episodes in the first season. The point was to try and drum up enthusiasm to get a second season. Luckily, they got that, for a total of 13 episodes, which, will only sadly come out next October. I liked the character progression in terms of what time they had. Leaving *Person* in and not killing him off is interesting as to how they will explore his character more. The final episode did show his emotions a little better. The episodes haven't been bad, per se, it's just, they didn't know if they would get that second season. Hopefully the writing will pan out to be better.

It could be any character. There's like 5 that are not in the comic book. My statement is ambiguous.
