Also, rayhovite, i had someone come to me with their computer saying that they did pay Antivirus 2008 or whatever the 20 bucks. I laughed so goddamn hard.

I used to use this. I forgot why I stopped, by at the time, it was pretty damn effective. Probably still is.

Malwarebytes Anti Malware is good too.

I know that big universities like ASU and UofA (Sorry, i only know Arizona) give free norton or something...

FYI, Avast has audible updates and scans. <<

The main reason I didn't include AVG was because AVG Free does not scan for Rootkit malware. The one's posted do scan for rootkits like many commercial ones do.

Malwarebytes was not included either because to get the automated scanner you have to pay for it. SuperAntiSpyware was also not included, for the curious, for the same reason.

Is it just me or are Anti-viruses supposed not to find anything when doing scans?
