SaptaZapta Wrote:Ooh! Can you please check whether Ground Smash lets a Hero hit Zakum's top right arm while standing on the top right platform? And whether it does decent DPM (compared to jumping and brave-slashing)?

Ok, going back to this situation sorry for the late update but its a pain trying to get into altar here on weekends. Anyways, I just tested again I can hit top right arm just fine with upperstab easily without jumping. Brave slash should work perfectly fine since its pretty much the same range but only 1% off in distance.

Yep, they're following KMS' pattern apparently.

Thank you. I guess I will check this after BB (since it seems Stereo has been unable to properly fight Zakum in Tespia, and I don't know any other Hero that's even trying).
If Brave Slash really reaches that far... wow.

I lol'd.

@hamad: Obviously there are. Tespia isn't final and they still haven't fixed most of the bugs. I hope they'll go through all the bug reports and fix at least most of them. I've reported over 50.

Let me clarify what I said, I was kinda sleepy yesterday.

Ok, I remember I saw somewhere that KMS said that the Big Bang update will be the 1st big update that will occur.

Is the Restructering update the 2nd big update? Won't this update be adding something new that closely relates to the Black Magician?

PS. When I say Big Bang update, I mean all 3 of em.

I'm pretty sure the three separate updates for Big Bang were the big updates. I could be wrong though. In fact, It'd be awesome if I were.

I feel that it is enough.

Well we ARE the "Tankadins" now. I don't see why having a party skill that lets you reduce damage of your party members in exchange for you taking the damage full on is any sort of problem. Every MMO that has a "Tank" type class has some sort of party damage reducing skill. I don't see why Maple wouldn't add one for Paladins or Warriors in general later down the road. It'd make Paladins more warrented for partying other than already being reduced to CO / Threaten Mules.

Technically battle mages are meant to be the "tankers", it's just paladins are way better at it.

Yeah, trying and failing still...

Saturday 10:40pm - run 1. No all cures or substitutes. Didn't attack much.
Sunday 2:00am (EST, so still before midnight PST) - run 2. Brought Holy Water and Eyedrops. Screen went black before I could summon and I had to close MS.

It's now Monday at 4pm and Adobis won't let me lead another run yet, even though it's been 38 hours..

As I said before, when I say Big Bang update I meant all of the three.

I think what he means is that when KMS announced big update #2, they were talking about the resistance, not another overhaul.

I think you sorta get what I am talking about.

Let me make this clear-er.
WHEN I SAY BIG BANG, I SERIOUSLY MEAN ALL 3 OF THEM, BIG CHANGE, RESISTANCE, MECHANIC

But I heard that the entire Big Bang Update (this includes all 3) were only 1 of the big updates.

So would the latest update (The Restructering) be the 2nd big update? Which would mean that The Restructering should have something to do with the Black Magician. Right?

Ormykka Wrote:PG is not a damaging skill. It's only mission is to reduce the taken damage. The given damage back to monster is just a bonus. As a Paladin myself, i never go running around without PG. Post-BB 50% less touch damage is alone a lot of damage off, combined with our def, parrying and other skills to reduce the damage. Take PG away from us it mean we take 50% more damage from touch. At some cases that would lead us to actually take damage instead of just "1". That is our way to take on monsters, stand middle of them and make PG useful.

Can't wait till the BB now. Im loving Paladin playing style even more now that i realize what is really coming Smile

I dont think you understand how little pg is doing when you are taking 1 damage. a majority of the time you will take 1 damage with it on or off. For any "serious" bossing you will probably be level 170+ post-bb (leveling gets easier so the bossing level standard is naturally going to rise). What with paladins having a bonus 2 points in every skill for free (it is my full intention to have +4 as possible) because of this, you're likely to have a least 1 point in every skill. That means you've got some achillies and guardian and all that fun stuff for sure at 170. Now what i am almost postive what will happen is this. you won't often take enough damage powerguard on or off to need to use a significant amount of potions (yay free 80% hp potion every 30 seconds) at basically any boss where you will take any TOUCH DAMAGE. I dont anticipate using a single hp potion training on anything (i managed for the most part on a marauder while still training as efficiently as possible, i really don't see myself having trouble post bb as a wk/pally). I again assure you that i am perfectly aware of what powerguard does. But are you really aware of the effect it truly has? What does it really do for you? It doesnt save a significant amount on potions, it doesn't add an even noticeable amount of dps, the reduced knockback is significantly less useful anywhere past 80. You can keep quoting the skill description to me all you want it won't actually make the skill nearly as useful as it first sounds.

If you say the 50% reduction of power guard is useless. What about the reduction brought by achilles or shield mastery? They reduce way less than 50% so they are the ones you would be leaving unmaxed instead.

Point is, power guard is one of the highest damage reducing skills you've got. If you are getting hit 1 with or without it you'd rather take points off:
1) A skill that increases your defense less
2) a skill from 4th job since those points are more useful (can use on any job and 4th job is generally harder to choose what to max)
