Post BB Threaten and Power Guard

Not sure if it was ever said or posted before but just wondering if some people can clarify some things, forgive me if there was already a thread for it.

Does Threaten still work the same way as pre-bb? It looks like it changed from 20% to 30% reduction but does it work the same for mobs and bosses? Also looked at fiel's mob dmg formula and saw that it does not work on Pink Bean, does this mean it doesn't work on bosses?

Pre BB Power guard reduces 40% of the bump dmg but only reduces by 20% for bosses. Post BB it changes to 50% but is it also cut in half to bosses like in pre BB?

The retarded pre-BB monster damage formula squares monster attack and applies a multiplier to it, so a 20% reduction (80% attack) actually becomes a 36% reduction (64% attack). Post-BB Threaten actually reduces damage by less than pre-BB Threaten. It works on all bosses except Pink Bean.

I see, well that takes care of threaten then, just need to find out about power guard from tespia players or something.

Close. It works on all bosses except for Pink Bean and his cohorts. So it doesn't work on mini-bean or any of the statues either.
