inb4people pick the pokemon based on the names
Some names that were used in the Jap version should be kept in the English. Zekrom and Reshiram should be kept they're pretty good if you ask me. Zoroark and Zorua as well.Plus Shimma. I can see something like Wargle just being changed to Wareagle. I'm surprised they can STILL think of names let alone sprites. EDIT:Someone should make a thread of what teams we're planning on having for Gen5. Something with guidelines like, Gen 5 only team, Mix Gen team, Main team or something XD

I hope I get 'em right. : \
Smugleaf would be cool, but it doesn't sound possible. I can't really think of a good name for it, though.

You know what would be funny? If they only showed the pictures of the Pokemon and didn't say their names.

Well, we're now in an age where the internet plays an integral part of our daily lives, and the influences therein, or rather herein as we are currently on it, have a far greater reach than in previous years. For the team whose task is to make the names of the pokemon english, the possibility of tickling the collective of the fanbases' fancy by naming the grass starter "smugleaf," and the water starter "wotter," is in my opinion high.

Names got revealed.
Snivy, Tepig, and Oshawott. Snivy a lot of people guessed but Tepig and Oshawott were really unexpected o_o http://www.pokemonblackwhite.com/en-us/ I kind of like Tepig because it sounds like "teh pig." :p

Official names are great. Especially Snivy.
Lol'ing at the usual idiocy from the fanbase crying. Just like when the Pokemon sprites were revealed! |
