Generation V English Names: November 22nd

Guys, tomorrow Nintendo will announce the official starter names. Obviously we'll see more over time but given that this is the most exciting news since Duke Nukem Forever, it seemed deserving of a thread.

Guess some what the names will be and then rage when they're really bad here.

I can't think of any names but I still want to discuss others so go.

Wotter is pretty univerally accepted for the water one, and seems like it would be a good pokemon name. Everyone calls the grass one Smugleaf but there's almost 0 chance Nintendo will use that. I call the fire one Pumba.

Agreeing with your opinions so far. I'm mostly curious about Smugleaf's official name, since you know... how do you make a grass themed name for a snake? This, I've got to see. Fire one, I've really liked the name Emboar for it. However, I like your name for it MUCH more, Sarah.

They're giving just the base Pokemon names? Or are they including the evolutions too?

I want Pokabu to be Piglit so bad. It'd also be awesome if they went with the fans and named Tsutarja Smugleaf.
