Global MapleStory Tespia: Now Closed (Big Bang inside)
Steel Wrote:.... ;-;

All that work getting a crit ring for nothing..

DBs have a 25% crit rate 20% min critical dmg passive in 4th job. Still pretty much the same as having thorns but not as a party buff.

Thorns was 35% crit rate 30% critical min damage though.

What, I thought it said 20% rate, 30% crit min dmg?

Anybody got an idea on how to get out of Omega Sector without climbing Eos Tower?

I used a Town Scroll at Trixters (Floor 93 or so?) and got sent to Omega.
Went to talk to Roly Poly 10 for the Eos Scroll quest... quest is still there, he wants me to kill Black Ratz... which are only at the top of the tower now. Bottom is full of Block Golems.

Help!

I wasn't really sure about the rate, but I figured it remained unchanged.

There is some quest which should give you ludi teleport capsules. Other than that...

Did they take out the quest for ludi scrolls? There's one like 5 floors up that requires you to kill rats for walnuts and you get 20 scrolls. Again i'm not sure if that's even in GMST anymore...

Kalovale Wrote:If you remove PG off Heroes, it would mean it's no longer a primary-defensive-but-hybrid-purpose skill, but now an all-round defensive skill, which suits Paladin. I don't see why Paladin should have any extra damage on top of what they already pack, plus, they're the only defensive class in the game, better to take it to the extreme.

Covering seems to be the mechanics of Yellow Aura, I'm not sure but that idea seems to have been

covered.

And then only sort of. in that damage is spread around. What im suggesting as an alternative to the passive that you agreed would be great on Fighters would be skill that would basically enable a paladin to guard a specific party member for some of their damage, not share damage with them.

And i still say PG as it is is counterproductive on any warrior post-bb. They all reduce physical damage (the only damage pg effects) by an insane amount so pg really does very little. It's biggest use to before 4th is just that kb reduction and that is at best marginally useful. It becomes nigh useless especially to paladins post BB. the actual damage that pg ever gets an opportunity to act upon is little and often effectively zero. And i agree that it is somewhat out of theme for hero. I still think the Strong Legs passive idea i had would be better than PG for both classes. I'm all about paladins taking the defense to the extreme. And i say pg doesnt do much to take them there. It's their insane def, high guard rate, self heal and bubble skill that get them there. when you see a pally taking 1 damage (which is pretty much always) it means pg reflects nothing and obsorbs a whole 0-1 damage.

The way PG operates now is just not efective on the way paladins work. It's mixing tank types in too many ways if that makes sense to you. Eventually it starts becoming inneffective.

Thanks for the suggestions. I climbed it. Wasn't as bad as I feared.
Five of the outside foors are now pure Drum Bunny, in addition to the Drum Bunny mini-dungeon that's still there. Somebody at Nexon must really love them.

In the interest of science, I used "Nearest Town" again at Floor 94, after killing the Black Ratz and collecting the walnuts. It sent me to Omega again. Went to Roly Poly 10, handed in the quest, got the Eos Scrolls, they work normally. Using a Nearest Town scroll at Floor 70 (where the 2nd Eos Rock is) sent me to Ludibrium.

Question about the new UI interface

Did they change the resolution that MS starts in? Cause it does look like it, unless they just made all the bars at the bottom smaller or something.

And if they did change the allowed resolution the game runs in, has anyone playing Tespia noticed that it takes more system resources and hence slows their computer down?

Thanks in advance

PG is not a damaging skill. It's only mission is to reduce the taken damage. The given damage back to monster is just a bonus. As a Paladin myself, i never go running around without PG. Post-BB 50% less touch damage is alone a lot of damage off, combined with our def, parrying and other skills to reduce the damage. Take PG away from us it mean we take 50% more damage from touch. At some cases that would lead us to actually take damage instead of just "1". That is our way to take on monsters, stand middle of them and make PG useful.

Can't wait till the BB now. Im loving Paladin playing style even more now that i realize what is really coming Smile

It's okay. they can wait for like 8 more months and get shiny new reskills.

Yeah there's a new resolution with BB. I didn,t experimented it myself but i heard you lagg less when under it, especially at bosses...

Yeah, they added a higher resolution to play in: 1024x768. I used it nonstop in KMS and I didn't notice it being more laggy; it ran smoother, if anything.

And on Heroes it's the difference between taking 1800 and 3600 damage, which is quite a difference...

Taking half as much damage is nothing like "useless".

If anything, Achilles is the useless one - it's a 4th job skill, costs 10 more SP, and it only reduces damage by 15%, with no reflection at all.

Ok, so I just learned about the The Restructering update.

Didn't somewhere in the Big Bang update say that the Big Bang is only the first major update?

So, would the Restructering update be the second major update, causing the storyline to possibly move closer to the end?

Well, it would be called as BB2 wouldn't it?

What makes Power Guard useful is not the measly 50% damage reflected back, but as pointed out by many warriors now, it's the ability to halve 50% physical damage, and 25% physical damage against bosses. Without Power Guard, Paladin and Hero are as effectively "non-warriors" defense-wise as any mage class - and in effect, will tend to burn more potions because we're always within hugging range of monster.

The other most important use of Power Guard, not mentioned by anyone here yet, is its effects of giving a 2nd-3rd job Page/Fighter/Sader/WK pseudo-stance, enabling them to walk through mobs easily for fast mobbing.
