Global MapleStory Tespia: Now Closed (Big Bang inside)
SaptaZapta Wrote:Where are you getting all-cures, by the way? Did Alcaster's quest? Or getting them one by one from Mo?

I went to Ludibrium and bought Holy Stuff and Pure Water so I can cure darkness/seal (the effective ones), but not poison/weakness. Grabbed 400 of each so hopefully it'll last a while, and I'll tackle that arm first if this ever works out.

Thorns changed post-restructuring.
it's now 90% stance and +30 weapon attack.

Which is still pretty sexy.
Although it'd have made more sense if it were 90% stance and some kind of damage return buff like Power Guard, being "Thorns" and all.

Kalovale Wrote:That's a surprisingly good idea. Even a passive +5% stance rate would make it the best skill to have ever, gives Heroes a damage perk over Drk. Pally should keep their Power Guard for hax defensive power.

Thing is even for paladins powerguard + high defense = counterproductive. And pallies defense is just insane. When, and that is a decently sized when, they do take damage they take low damage with PG off, lower with it on, the reflection component is just fail. As much as i would like sexy strong legs skill on both warriors, i guess something that would be more paladin appropriate would be some sort of guard party/party member skill. Like share their damage or something like that. It'd almost have to only work on only one party member to be job appropriate. I don't know i don't have any ideas nearly as good as that passive. While i'm all for different classes having different skills i just cant think of anything defensive based that is useful without being too good for a second job skill. And seriously, power guard doesnt fit the straight-offense hero theme, and the skill just isnt that useful for either warrior that has it.

A "Cover" skill for a paladin would work wonders. You block damage a % of the time for your party or you would take a certian % of damage the party receives since Paladins barely take damage anyway.

If you remove PG off Heroes, it would mean it's no longer a primary-defensive-but-hybrid-purpose skill, but now an all-round defensive skill, which suits Paladin. I don't see why Paladin should have any extra damage on top of what they already pack, plus, they're the only defensive class in the game, better to take it to the extreme.

Covering seems to be the mechanics of Yellow Aura, I'm not sure but that idea seems to have been
*puts on sunglasses*
covered.

Well it's not as counterproductive. If Power Guard wasn't given to Heroes, Paladins have to be nerfed in some way to compensate for having a constant 50% physical damage reduction while Heroes take near full damage like a DrK but without the Hyperbody for a bigger damage buffer. Also, Power Guard is used for taking less damage, not to reflect damage back. If a Paladin needs Power Guard to deal more damage they are clearly doing it wrong. What's a 1500 damage reflect compared to a 450k+ Blast?

I second this. If PG was taken off heroes they would need to give us a buff to increase our attack (as the way I see it, Paladins are defensive, DrK are balanced and heroes would be the offensive warrior) which would later on cause a lot of drama from people claiming once again Heroes are unbalanced compared to other warriors and shi'et like that.

To be more specific, everyone starts out with 5% crit innately.
