I cant change my name

So it says something about me getting banned 3 months ago. but i never gotten banned 3 months ago. i do rememeber getting banned 2 times. 1 from the auto ban tpyhoon bug, and selling NX. i dont recall me getting banned 3 months ago.

SO whats going on?

I always thought it was if you ever got banned you couldn't change your name.

1. Characters eligible for rename must be level 10 or higher.

2. Your character will be included in the ranking system after the name change takes effect.

3. Naming rules as described in Nexon's Terms of Use will apply to the new name change of the character.

4. Name changes are limited to your avatar only.

5. Your items that are tagged will not be changed.

6. Name changes will be completed during every sever check/patch. Users should refer to MapleStory's Notices for server check/patch times. Essentially, if you change your name after this week's server check/patch, it will be changed during the next server check/patch.

7. Marriages within the Game will not be cancelled as a result of a name change to a character.

8. All Guild information will be kept current and will not be altered by character name changes.

9. No friend's lists will be deleted after character name changes.

Here are limitations on changing character names

1. You will be not allowed to change your character's name if your account records show any history of past abuse by you while you were playing the Game. So if you were banned, you can't change your name.

2. Nexon may cancel your request of changing your name. If your request is cancelled, you will be given a full refund.

3. Nexon changes for characters are limited to once per month. In addition, you can only submit one name changes per character at a time.

4. Nexon reserves the right to reject -- in full or in part -- and any requested name -- for reason or no reason -- in its sole discretion.

5. Even if the new name you chose is acceptable upon completion of the new name request form, it is possible for any reason that the request will not be approved during processing. You will be notified by email and may be given the opportunity to chose another new name.

6. If you wish to rename characters on different accounts, you will need to submit a seperate request for each character on that account.

7. You will initially be charged Nexon Cash after which time your request shall be reviewed and processed. No refunds will be permitted once your request is approved and processed.

8. All approval requests will be processed in due course.

The following types of names are inappropriate

1. Vile, profain, rude, or racist names including common swear words, anatomical references, racial slurs, and similar words.

2. Combinations of words that produce an offensive result. (e.g. Hugeas, Tug Migroin).

3. Proper names from Nexon (e.g. Wizet) This also includes the first or last name of any significant Nexon NPC (e.g. Icebyrd Slimm, Professor Foxwit).

4. Names chosen with the intent of possessed with the effect of harming the reputation or used to impersonate a GM or other representative of Nexon America.
