What should I work on in terms of upgrading/cubing? Right now, my options are... [click]

This is somewhat old, so replace the PAC with a 3% DEX, 3 line Green Gaia Cape.

I'm working on getting 3 line Rex earrings and cubing until I get at least 3% DEX. Also need to recube my Specs but I'm not sure if I should really worry about that. Chaos Zak helm I'll worry about later, I have a 3% DEX Blue Falcon until then. But once that's done, what should I work on getting/cubing?

Also, should I buy MW20 (I have the money for it) or wait until BB where I worry about adding my 9 saved SP elsewhere?

Well I know that but I'll be getting more skills where those 9 points will most likely be used on after I used all my other points on whatever. So the question is, should I waste money on MW now or wait until BB where I might not even need it until later on? I'm mainly wondering because I can either have it now so I won't have to worry about passing the book later or I can worry about it later and work on other stuff now.

Worry about it later. MW prices will crash in price, guaranteed.

The STR on your specs, do they help you with equipping your bow? If so, focus on that later. Also, I agree with Takebacker. I personally am going to wait until big bang to get MW 20.

As of now, they do, so nevermind cubing those for now.

Went ahead and cubed my belt, so I'm good now.

We never had CWK pots till last year and bowmen could never take advantage of it (can't tank). I'd go with milk but if you don't mind dying, spam honster (I die all the time using milk b/c I can't get off mounts fast enough to spam pots)



Depending on how ignore defense works, marksmenship might be top priority. I'd still suggest getting SE early if you have a hard time getting into parties (esp. boss runs).

Oh, okay then thanks. I'm also a bit confused with potential stats. Right now, I'm cubing my recently made Black Beauty, and I'm wondering... good potential stats for a bowman? I've been reading around and some say total damage% > critical % or its... total damage% < critical %.

So yeah, which one is better?

with SE you have a 55% chance of 240% damage or .55x2.4 (crit) + .45x1 (non crit) = 1.77.

10% crit rate bumps you up to .65x2.4 + .35 x1 = 1.91.
10% total damage = 1.77* 1.1 = 1.94

crit rate might better if you rely on crits to KB bosses like pap though.

Between the strafe build and arrow rain build, which one helps a ranger level faster? I'm kind of leaning towards the arrow rain build since it mobs, but would the strafe build be able to compete with the arrow rain build even though strafe only hits 1 monster?

Big Bang is within two weeks. Strafe is useless.

Yeah, you're much better off maxing your mob skills first. You don't even need to max Strafe anymore once Big Bang comes along. Not that it matters right NOW, you get a full SP reset anyway, but even still, mob skills first make for much faster training.

Decided to upgrade my xbow since I wasn't satisfied with my earlier one. Is this good enough for end-game? I have 17 extra str if I keep this xbow.

I like to think there is no end game weapon. Only weapons that are better than the one you have now. The next step up from that would be 3 lined, similarly scrolled VIP xbow.

I'm somewhat at a loss as to what to work on... anyone got any suggestions?

Right now I currently have a 3 line clean Green Pria (6 DEX with 4 all stat potential, not that the potential matters), so with that in mind, my options are...

1. Get a 3 line Chaos Zakum Helmet
2. Scroll (with 60/100%s) and cube the Pria
3. Keep my current overall and cube it (it's 2 lines, so...)
4. Attempt to make a 3 line Arcina, get it to 14 ATT again and cube that
5. Cube my boots
6. Cube my bow to 30% Boss damage (obviously not gonna get that in 9 cubes)
7. Other???

#6 I'm wanting to aim for last, but I put that in there anyway. Suggestions are welcome. D:

I guess I should define what end game is for me. End game for me is a weapon that already minimizes the hits to kill a monster, no matter how much more attack I upgrade.

The only other xbows are the Dragon Shiner Cross, Reverse Black Beauty, and the VIP Xbow. I definitely won't be using the Black Beauty since it becomes untradeable once it is equipped. A VIP Xbow costs around 750m in my server and there is no guarantee that I will get 3 lines for it. That leaves the Dragon Shiner Cross. I suppose I can Maker Dragon Shiners until I get a 3 liner, and then slowly scroll it with 50% + WS/Pam's Song. Does that sound like too much work for an end game?

You don't have any.

The new servers don't have maple weapons or alien weapons, and almost definitely don't have a decent supply of VIP bows, so you're out of luck.

Thanks for replying. Then what are the low-str options, and if there aren't none, when should str be capped if you have 0 funding?
