Call of Duty: Black Ops

There isn't a main page, so I decided to make this.

I'm getting it from Nov 17-24th. I hope on the 17th or 18th, because I can't play on weekdays and I'd have to wait another whole boring school week D=.

I love how quickscoping is "fixed" (you can still use it if you have variable zoom and zoom in as you quickscope, apparently). I'm betting all those TF2ers snipers are laughing so hard at the CoD rage (I can't wait to join the laughing).

Sucks that the Flamethower seems a bit underwhelming. It looks fun.

Glad the Shotguns got a buff.

I'm not sure what to pick as my secondary, the Python or Ballistic Knives. I guess I will see...

And shotguns didn't get a buff. Its a nerf. They're not nearly as good, and theyre primaries.

What? I keep on dropping my mouth everytime I see the range of those things (in videos, at least). They're 1hkos at a bigger range than the SPAS in MW2.

This, and the nerf to quickscoping passively buffs shotguns (who need to get in closer to kill).

In Black Ops, the Spas 12 starts dropping off at 7.5m and in MW2 it doesn't start to dropping off till 11m. Also, in MW2 it has 40 damage per pellet and not 30.

There's a pretty significant difference in range with the Olympia/Stakeout vice the shotguns from MW/MW2.

I see it maintaining its accuracy longer, then dropping faster. That's still larger 1-shot kill range.

I just looked at a montage on the Olympia, but I swear, every time it reloads I think of a boner.

On brighter news, Amazon just predicted I'll get Black Ops this Friday, meaning I wouldn't have to wait an extra week to play the game! Woot! Feel free to add ClawofBeta on Steam.

Hmm...I am mistaken then. Perhaps it's something about the graphics that makes it appear different - it certainly FEELS like a longer range. I also misread the graph as depicting Olympia vs SPAS(MW2)

The Olympia is pomegranate.... The other shotguns are pretty fair.

I like the game so far, but I miss footsteps. Just gotta wait for the patch, whenever it is.

The SPAS-12 from MW2 has a greater max range. The Olympia has 15m max range. The SPAS-12 from MW2/Stakeout have about 17m max range. The MW2 SPAS-12 has greater damage at all ranges as well as having 40 max damage. They all have a 8x buckshot. This makes the MW2 SPAS-12 more deadly.
