I've always wondered what it would be like if...

You had to record messages with your voice on forums, rather than typing messages. Then, you would be able to hear context, sarcasm, voice dynamics, etc.


Imagine having to actually hear Sarah yell at you.


It would also be nice to know what people sound like, to go along with the picture threads. Faces without voices is weird, IMO.

Then, you guys would probably say:

"Solarboy sounds like a girl!"

Could always start doing that. I'd record my own voice, but I've heard it so many times (projects and what-not), and I sound more white than I do Asian.

No, never. I don't even type furiously unless I've lost a post due to hitting backspace or am in a hurry.

Oh, God. I hate that shi't. Just about every time I try to type something on this laptop, I don't even hit the touch pad, backspace, or anything... but the damn page goes back and I lose everything I had just typed. :S

I still don't get why people don't get that. Even before you came out and said you rarely get angry in real life and you aren't an angry person I never saw you as an angry person. But of course, how you act on the internet is how you are in real life.

On topic:

I wouldn't be a part of internet forums if it was all voice posting. Especially not video game forums. Can't stand heavy breathing and nasal voices that are so often owned by the users. Text is a beautiful thing.

Stereotypes exist for a reason. Watch nearly any LP or video in general about games. Their voices make me physically ill. Obviously not EVERYONE has this sort of voice but an overwhelming majority do. Just going into EB games is enough to give me goosebumps and make me turn up my iPod to full.

When I used to talk to people on Ventrilo and Skype frequently, people would always say my voice is sexy. I find it kind of annoying, though. Hmm...
