Post-BB, +2 all skills.

Is the +2 to all skills most commonly received on the primary (first) line?

Also a few scenarios concerning comparative damage output:

- Given +2 to all skills manifested on a secondary line, would its boost be worth keeping over the much easier to obtain +6% mainstat that could be there?
- Given you get +2 to all skills on the primary line, would its boost be worth keeping over the comparatively easy +9% mainstat that could go there?
- Given you managed to be really lucky and roll +2 to all skills on 2 lines and given that they stack to give +4 to all skills (would they?), would that be worth keeping over the standard 15% mainstat that could have been there?

If you had no other equipment, and your hat has 9% stat bonus, how much does your total stat increase by when you put the hat on?

If you had equipment that give a total of 100% stat bonus, and your hat has 9% stat bonus, how much does your total stat increase by when you put the hat on?

Well, I just realised a general solution would be harder to figure out than I thought given +2 to all skills would affect each any every class differently and that +%stat is done after adding numerical stats off equips and would add more raw stats the more mainstat you have. So while the boost of +9% mainstat gets larger as more base mainstat and numerical mainstat off equips is gained, +2 to all skills is a fixed bonus that adds to your damage% . I don't know where to start T_T.

But to answer previous post, assume I'm a shadower with 731 LUK totally unequipped, after equipping an average Czak with 9% LUK I'll have 752x(1+0.09) LUK. 9% of 752 gives 67.68, which is rounded up(?) to 68 post-BB. With equips that add 60 numerical LUK and +100% LUK I'd have 791x(1+1) LUK. Adding the Czak would give me 812x(1+1.09) LUK. Taking 9% of 812 gives 73.08 which is rounded down(?) to 73 post-BB.

Not sure what you're getting at here

If you have X LUK, putting on a 9% Luk Czhelm would raise your total LUK from 1.0*X to 1.09*X, effectively 1.09/1.0 = +9%.
If you have X*(1+1) LUK, putting on a 9% Luk Czhelm would raise your total luk from 2.0*X to 2.09*X, effectively 2.09/2.0 = +4.5%.

While +2 to all skills, like you said, is a fixed bonus, +%stat becomes less significant as your total +%stats grows larger. Depending on each individual cases, you can work out both hands, weigh it, and pick the heavier side.

It's pretty much the same case as it is with WATK, the more you have, the less significant each of the total is.

1.a/ 1000 LUK * 100 WATK / 100 = 1000 dmg
1.b/ 1000 LUK * 101 WATK / 100 = 1010 dmg (+10, which is 1% of case a)
2.a/ 1000 LUK * 200 WATK / 100 = 2000 dmg
2.b/ 1000 LUK * 201 WATK / 100 = 2010 dmg (+10, which is 0.5% of case a)

Similarly.
1000 LUK * (1+0.09) = 1090 LUK (+90, which is 9% of 1000, what you originally had before equipping the hat)
1000 LUK * (2+0.09) = 2090 LUK (+90, which is 4.5% of 2000, what you originally had before equipping the hat)

We still don't know if the +2 to all skills from helms allows for you to go beyond the max level. AFAIK just combat orders does that.

Oh really? I thought it was a given that it would work since skills were no longer derived from set tables but a general formula (last I heard) post-BB. I guess without absolute conclusive proof though this thread is kind of at a loss lol.

Even if it didn't, it gives you about 4-6 extra levels worth of 4th job SP, which is nice. 18 extra points in a skill due to spending less in all the other ones can certainly be noticed...
